At our place of business we feed 3-4 feral cats. We have captured them, actually 6 of them at the time, with an animal shelter supplied humane trap and had them spayed and neutered. One of them suffered a broken tail about a year ago. The piece that was broken fell off, the hair from the broken off part to the body fell out and a scab formed. The scab keeps falling off and re-forming. We can't afford to catch him and get it fixed at a vet. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

My gosh! It does sound like something that a vet should really look at. Maybe at least some nutritional supplements, like lysine, or something to build up the immune system would help. Not sure what you could get that wouldn't require a prescription though. Sorry to hear about this!
