Seeing Temple Grandin

I just got back from the talk that Temple gave at UNCW. Itwas a great talk. She's very articulate, funny and smart. The auditorium was packed! After the talk I got her book TALKING IN PICTURES and she signed it for me! I'm so glad we got the tickets!

How interesting! She's the woman who has been hugely important in the area of animal behaviour science. They made a movie about her last year if I remember correctly.

Lucky you! My daughter is on the autism spectrum and I can only hope that she can also succeed and have a satisfying life. It is such a struggle for her at times right now.

I knew I had to reply when I saw this thread... About last week we saw a video of an autistic woman giving a talk, and I thought nothing more about. When searching for movies at Redbox, the movie popped out. I had always looked at the movie, wanting to see, but never got around to it. When we found out who it was about, we had to get it, and I'm very glad we did. It was a wonderful movie, and a very inspiring story. I'm glad you had fun at her talk.
