New Cat from Cape Cod

Hi there and Happy Valentines Day, I might add!

I just joined your lovely forum today. I've never been on a forum, so there will be a bit of a learning curve for me. I will attempt to add some photos of my beloved kitties, Gizmo (girl cat) and Strider (boy cat).

I need to spend some more time on your site and threads so I can add something intelligent, but I do have a few questions also regarding particular quirks about my cats.

Ok, here goes with the photos...well, that didn't work! Guess that's the first thing I need to figure out!

I have to say I have really enjoyed looking at the photos of your cats here. I have friends who forward me cat pics and videos all the time. My husband poo-poos these "forwards", and then gets all caught up in them himself.

Looking forward to becoming better aquainted with you and your site!
Have a purrfect day....

Welcome

For pictures.

First sign up with photobucket.com it's free.

Second: upload your pictures to your photobucket account.

Third: copy the img code, and paste it into your post on here, and submit it. You won't see the picture until you hit submit.

Thanks so much for your welcome and help! I did figure out the photobucket thing and am working on the rest.

The Cape has been a real life upgrade for all of us...the cats just love it! Its wonderful to see them so a part of the outdoors now (with adult supervision)...they're like different cats, in a good way, because of it.
Of course, there's the other, not so good part, like ticks and various bites and whatnot. When I'm more sorted out with this, I do have some questions related to this sort of thing, as well as diet and behavior...nothing urgent, just issues of which I'd like to have a better understanding and to hear others experiences.

Thanks again!

Thank you everyone!
AbbysMom...your cats look similar to mine; a calico and a gray...I'll get those photo's up!! Are you on the Cape?

Is there a way to respond to an individual post or do I just hit the "reply to thread" button at the bottom of the page? Is there a PC protocol?

You sure can.
Look in the lower right corner of the reply you want to respond to...
you will see a blue "quote" button. Click that -
it will open a reply window with a quote from the person you are replying to, just like my reply to you now.

I hope I did this right! Gizmo is the calico-I'm her person. We have a really special relationship and just adore each other. She likes to sing when my husband plays the guitar. She's quite on tune actually. We need to make a video to put on Youtube.

Strider is the grey bad boy-my husband is his person. He's a real clown. He acts like a real tough guy, but still sucks his toe at night, something he did as a kitten. It's incredibly endearing and almost makes you forget that he can quite the bully to Gizmo when he's not getting his way. Something I'll come back to for advice...

BTW, If I do something wrong, technically or otherwise, please let me know as I'm still trying to figure this all out.

Lets see if this worked...
I'm having trouble with photos that I resize in fotobucket but still come out huge when I paste them onto this site...
