Out of curiousity...what is this color pattern called?

This is my boy Jinx, the vet says he is a incredibly unique color pattern and very very handsome. I do not know how to specify his color when describing him...any ideas?

Sorry about the open mouth, he was panting after a particularly vigorous playsession

I'm not a "pattern" pro - but, the word "Beautiful" comes to mind instantly.

Are you sure he wasn't talking to you instead of panting?

You might try posting this in the Breeders' forum: or ??? maybe a moderator could help?

Brown mackerel tabby - with a lot of brown, which maybe your vet isn't as used to seeing?

Brown Mackerel Tabby & White - he's got a lighter and more honey color of brown then the typical browns you see. Brown tabbies range from a warm honey brown color to the darker black-brown (which I call a cold brown).

I did a Google search on "Cat Color Brown Mackerel Tabby", in the IMAGES, this is the results:

Jinx is beautiful! You should keep an eye on his panting. Lynxx panted once, we brought him to the vet, and found out he had asthma.

Jinx is gorgeous. Sorry, I can't help you with his pattern/color.
