What a bad day I am having here... ANYWAY..

Tonight Kismet was on my wheelchair and he went to leap down and his back leg slipped between the seat and the wheel, he kind of hung by it for a second as he tried to free himself (I couldn't get to him fast enough, I was sitting in my arm chair). He got free , cried pretty loud and ran away. He would have nothing to do with me

When he finally came out (after I had a good cry and he realized it wasn't ME that hurt him ) he came out and let me pet him. He won't let me touch his leg *understandably* but he is able to walk and jump up and down ok.

He has cuddled me for a few mins here and there but is otherwise sleeping
I think he must have really hurt his leg.

What should I watch for in the coming days? When should I worry? (( there is no blood, no break if the old rule holds true about unable to walk/jump etc )).

Poor kis

Oh dear, but I am sure Kismet will be alright. I have had similar incidences with my kitties. They look at you so confused and upset. He will get past that rather quickly.

I am sure he will be just fine. You will know in the next few hours if it is something more serious. I am sure he just "stung" himself and might be a little muscle sore. Obviously, if you see extreme limping or holding his leg up off the ground, call your vet. But since you said he is walking/jumping, all should be fine. You might notice some soreness in the morning!! Poor baby, I hate that when they get themselves in these predicament. But nine out of ten times, they are just fine.

Oh jeez these things are scary. But like Lauren says, if he's walking and jumping OK, it's probably "just" bruised/inflamed - MAYBE sprained, but even that seems unlikely. Like she says, just keep an eye on him not walking on it or limping badly.

for both of you!

Oh gosh! We had something similar happen to Hannah a few weeks ago and it's the most heart wrenching thing ever! Keep an eye on him for limping and not wanting to put weight on that leg. Watch for swelling. When he's napping near you at some point in time, feel his leg and watch him for any indication that it hurts him when you touch it (pulling his leg away or wanting to nip you). I'm sure it'll be okay, but watch him the next few days.
