I've seen cats that would voluntarily get wet in a shower or tub, but this is surprising!

That is a first for me. And Millie seemed to enjoy her swim. Easy cat to bathe too, I bet

I have my doubts about the film of Millie 'jumping' into the water. The way it's edited make me suspect there were 2 incidents edited together, one where the cat makes a willing and successful leap from the dinghy to the yacht platform, and a second, shot from the other direction, where I dread to think what was done to the cat to propel it into the water.

In the final scene, there are TWO people in the little dinghy, whereas there's only one at the beginning. Something fishy has gone on.

Well I think they were teaching the cat to swim, she didnt look too anoyed about it. the vid I think was taken in 2008 and if you go onto the follow the boat site I think they are all doing a really long boat trip so wanted to make sure that if the cat fell over board she would know how to get back on.

I think you're right, this was more a case of 'teaching kitty to swim' than a cat that just loves the water.
