What should I call him?

I'm wondering what I should call my new kitty. He was one of the strays that hung around my complex, and I took him in last month after I noticed he had a foot injury. I was going to find a home for him, but it turns out that he's FIV positive, so he's staying with me
.

We've been calling him Tommy since we moved here in August, just because he looks like my mom's cat who was named Tommie. But I just don't like that name very much.

So I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas for me. My other cats (and fish, lol) have all had names from literature, poems, or plays (I'm a dork
). I've had Scarlett, Edgar, Annabel Lee, Langston, Oscar, Romeo, and Benji. Benji's name was not my idea- I wanted to call him "Piggy" (from Lord of the Flies). It totally would've fit
.

I don't necessarily want to go with a literary name for Tommy. I like things with Os on the end, like Romeo, or other Italian names. I kind of like Sergio, but I'm not sure it fits him.

So does anyone have any ideas? Here's a picture of him:

Thanks

I'm kinda partial to the name Lancelot. He just looks like a Lancelot to me.

Not a literary name, but what about Prezioso? (Prescious in Italian)

How about Cyan (for the green eyes) or Gimli (red fur / green eyes).

These aren't related to literature or poems, but they do end in an "O":

Calypso
Navajo
Tabasco
Cisco
Jericho

Just some names that I like which are on my kitty "name" list.
I kinda think the kitty looks more like a Tabasco to me: he has a sassy, "spicy" look about him.

I vote for Jericho.

That's my personal favorite, too.
I think that's the name I'll choose if I ever adopt another black cat that resembles Geronimo. Jericho just seems like a befitting name for a short-furred black cat.

Wow, thank you to everyone for the suggestions!!! I got a lot of good ideas

Now I think it's between Sergio and Nico (which I actually had suggested to my husband for Benji, and totally forgot about until this thread
).

I'm so bad at cat naming...Romeo didn't have a name for 3 weeks. My mom started leaving messages on my answering machine, claiming to be from the "Society for the Welfare of cats without names"
.
