So - Who's Watching the Super Bowl Today?!

Obviously, I'm gonna be watching it, since my team is playing. I'm a nervous wreck anticipating it. I want them to win sooooo badly!! At first I had a "bad" feeling that they might not win it, but now I'm thinking they might pull it off - although I think it's gonna be close and it's gonna be a thrilling ending - possibly even an overtime game. I can't wait for the game to start!!

GO PACK GO !!

I was going to joke and ask what the Super Bowl is. The only sport I really enjoy watching is hockey, but Gary and I haven't had cable or dish or anything since... 2007, I think.

But I saw from Kelly's Birthday thread that the Packers made it!

GO PACK GO!!!!

Not me. I'd rather watch paint dry!

We will have a houseful of people watching, but I won't be among them. We're having a party--chili (meat and vegetarian), wings, smoked salmon, chips/dips, cornbread, caramel corn, choc chip cookie ice cream sandwiches!

Obviously I'm in it for the food! You'll find me in the kitchen the whole time.

Just finished the initial party set up. Of course can't do too much or the cats will get curious and get into it.

Have a good afternoon everyone.

Not me! I might watch or Tivo the Puppy Bowl though.

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The real America's Team is playing!! The state of Wisconsin is going to be shut down pretty soon. Really! Area movie theatres and even McDonalds are closing early! Where I work we were closing early as well. I suppose if one doesn't like football the mall will be really empty.

Lambeau Field will again be closed so their employees can enjoy the game.

We are going to a friends house in a couple of hours and I have my supply of snacks to bring. Have my Packer gear all washed after wearing various articles of clothing all week.

I don't understand football for several reasons! Being from Brazil I think Football should be played with your foot, and a round ball, after all it is called foot-ball So, football played with your hands and with an oval "ball"? W-H-A-T???
For me that is just a bunch of gigantic men piling up every 10 feet or so... That's all I see anyways!

But, since it is here in Dallas, and a lot my friends are Packers fans, I will be watching for them!

Not me. I wouldn't be watching no matter what teams were playing. I couldn't care less.

I remember when I was still living in my beloved home state the last time the Pack made it to the Super Bowl: it was like a ghost town everywhere! That's because everyone was at home watching our beloved Pack!

It's time the Lombardi trophy comes back home where it belongs!

GO PACK GO !!!!

As the song says, "I love my Green Bay Packers!"

I don't watch sports at all.

I wouldn't cheer for Packers under any circumstances, after the shabby way Lambeau Field treated the Hot Rod Power Tour some years ago. It made them look like a second- or even third-rate amateur organization to thousands of people around the country.

I actually did that today!

We're having some people over for the game. I honestly could care less, since my Bears didn't make it to the game.

Tiff - I hope you got all your Packer gear ready for the game!!

Does watching the Puppy Bowl count?

This is one of the top 5 worst half time performances ever! The Black Eyed Peas have once again outdone not even themselves.........Completely ridiculous! Performed their top 5 songs with ten lyrics or less, not to mention bad sound, less then interesting choreography, sad back up dancers.......shameful!

Yep, I've got money on the PACKERS!!!

They're making me nervous right about now though.
Not me! I watched about 20 minutes of it and some commercials & now I'm watching a movie instead

My Vikings didn't make it, so I have no interest

My Steelers are probably not going to pull this one out!!!!!!!

That's the way I'd feel too, if my Packers wouldn't have made it!

Your Bears almost made it, Amy. I'll bet you probably don't like the Pack very much right now, eh?

My Packers gear is always on stand-by!

Now I'll have more to add to my collection! My son (who's still in Wisconsin) is fixin' to go out tomorrow to get me the championship t-shirt & cap. I'll make sure to wear them out in public: ought to drive the Cowboys' fan nuts!!

Go PACKERS!!!!
Whew, that was close!
Can't wait to call my friends from Marinette tomorrow... They must be in heaven tonight!
One thing though - they are barely showing the game anymore - there are SO MANY commercials, it really has taken over the time - 20 seconds of game, 60 of commercial... at least that's how it felt anyhow...
I know Super Bowl commercials are the most expensive, the most watched commercials in the World and all, but that's got to be a limit to the number/time of commercials against game time! I was impressed this year.
Congrats KittKatt!!!

Thanks, Carolina! You just don't know how happy I am!!

I'll have to agree there are too many commercials. The game would probably be cut in half if it wasn't for that. But I reckon they have to have them for profit. And you have to admit that some of them are pretty darn funny! I'll never forget the Bud Light Caveman commercial that was televised during Super Bowl XXXI (Packers vs. Patriots): that commercial still cracks me up whenever I watch it!

I watched! Being a Vikings fan, I should have been really annoyed that the Packers were in it, but I actually thought it was exciting, because I love football!!! and I wanted a good game, and that it was....it really was. Also, I have alot of admiration for Aaron Rodgers, so I wanted them to do well.

I normally like the commercials, but I felt they really came up short this year. So much hitting, the Doritos guy licking the Doritos dust off things was totally gross. So many car commercials. Love the eTrade babies, though.

I thought Christina Aguilera was awful. She was so concerned with her vocal gymnastics, she forgot the lyrics. I hate when singers think they have to mess with the national anthem. Just sing it straight - it can be really effective. I actually muted it the minute I heard her start, because I heard what she was going to do with it. But I heard later that she had messed up the lyrics. Geesh.....major fail.

I only watch the superbowl for the commercials! lol. But, they were pretty lame this year. The Darth Vader one was cute, and the beaver one, but there were no stand outs for me. Was there a Budweiser commercial with the clydesdales? Those are my favorites and I don't remember one.

We watched it at my SIL's and they are die-hard Steeler's fans, so of course I had to cheer for the Packers! I would have been more into it if the Raven's had made it. But I only like them because I'm a Maryland girl at heart and I love Poe.

My sentiments exactly. There are some websites where you can listen to her. I am glad I didn't see it yesterday. I wonder if she is embarrassed.

I listened briefly to bits and pieces of the game at work last night. I'm glad the Steelers lost.
