Flambe seems to suddenly be favoring his right rear paw. He was fine this morning, playing and jumping after his favorite toy (a wand toy given to us by Carolina). Now, he just doesn't look like he feels good, and, as I said, he seems to be limping on that paw.

My first guess would be that he landed wrong on one of his jumps, although he didn't seem to react that way at all this morning.

Poor guy! I hope that's all it is (the wrong landing). Hope he feels better soon!

Why do these things always happen on Sundays
!! Perla experienced the same thing, but on her front left paw or leg. It was on a Sunday morning...
. She limped around all day. I throughly checked her toes, pads, palpated her legs up and down, and her shoulder too!! She didn't even flinch and seemed to love all of the meowmy attention. The next morning she was much better but still a slight limp. My vet said to wait to see if she progresses over the next day as kittens commonly strain something playing. By Tuesday, she was 100%! So Flambe might be better in the morning. I sure hope so

You should bring him to the vet, just to be sure it's nothing serious.

If it doesn't improve pretty quickly, I will.

I would worry about injection site problems, but it was over a week ago that he had his usual vaccinations.

Flambe is pretty much back to his normal bouncy self.

I couldn't figure out what might have happened, but this morning I noticed that the little sidestand by my bed was askew and a book that had been on top of it was now under the edge. I'm thinking he jumped up, slid off, and landed wrong.

You're right, he probably did land wrong when he jumped.

I'm glad to read that he's feeling better!

Sounds like a totally reasonable hypothesis. So glad to hear Flambe is feeling better! (And, may I say, what a cool name!)
