We had a thunderstorm last night. It poured down sleet, and Queen Eva was quite startled by the light and noise.

I took some video, not every day you see lightning and hear thunder with three feet of snow on the ground.

Attached are some stills I snipped from the video to give you an idea. Watch the video with your sound turned up.

Nice film! What state are you in? Q.E. looks amazed.

We had 3 more inches last night here.

It's light and fluffy, though. Easy to shovel.

We got lightning last night, but we didn't get any thunder. I only ever saw lightning during a snow storm 1 other time! It was cool

I've heard thunder in snowstorms before but never have seen lightning to go with it. It is cool!

Yes, it was dark out and my camera didn't pick anything up excpet when the lightning flashed.

That's why I posted the stills too, so you would know what you were watching for.
, you can hear the sleet falling during the black parts, there are three flashes, one flash of the pines, then thunder, then I moved to the other side of the porch and got the two close together flashes (woods on a hill) then a crack of thunder and a louder rumble.

thanks for looking.
