Just wanted to request adoption vibes for a couple of sweet senior brothers. Some of you may recall my neighbor's cats - Ricky and Merlin, who are approximately 11-12 years old and lost their home when their owner moved and no family members were willing to care for them. The boys are in the care of a local rescue, but I'm doing what I can to help find them homes too. They're such sweeties!
Here's their Petfinder listings if you'd like to take a look. Thanks!

Oh Merlin and Ricky are very handsome!! I sure hope they get homes, I know it is harder due to their age. There are people who would be willing to open up their hearts to senior cats. I hope they come along soon

Wow. You guys are good! Would you believe Merlin got adopted today?
Actually, it doesn't work that quickly since the rescue has a pretty stringent application process and screens potential adopters pretty quickly. I'm so happy for Merlin! Had hoped the boys would stay together, but they're not that closely bonded so it's totally fine. Yay for Merlin. Now it's Ricky's turn!

Wow, that's wonderful! Bit sad they didn't go together, but great that he found a family to love him...
It just amazes me that the previous owner would just pick up and go like that, leaving them behind as though they were a piece of old luggage! Disgusting!

I'm so happy for Merlin, it's to bad Ricky couldn't have been adopted with him.

It is terrible when people move and leave their pets behind. Ricky, old boy, your home is on the way. Hang in there.

We've already had a great update on Merlin. His adopter said he's "as sweet as can be."
Merlin's been hiding under the bed a bit, but comes right out when she calls him. He loves sitting on her lap and they took a nap together Sun. afternoon.

Ricky's turn will come. There's an open house/party at the rescue Fri. evening so a lot of people will becoming to visit the cats, plus an adoption fair at Petsmart this weekend.
