Let's stay active together!!

Okay, this is another thread where I ask for motivation by sharing our work outs, no matter how small, to keep track of how active we really are
I know, I've done these before, and they never lasted, but I hope it will this time
So, today I went to the gym...
I did 35 minutes of cardio on the treadmill, 10 minutes running at a 3% incline and 25 walking (3.5 mph) at a 10% incline.
I also did 30 crunches(with 50 pound weight), 60 glute extentions(70 pound weight), about 100 hip adductor (170 pound weight)..
I typically don't like to use weights, because I hate the idea of working out only a single muscle in my body. I usually do things like jumping lunges, burpees, plank jumps with my own body weight, so that a lot of muscles get worked out at the same time. Yesterday I did a timed interval training excersise where I switched back and forth between jumping side lunges, burpees, jumping squats and tricep pushups- and that gave me a nice workout. But, since I had nothing to do today I decided to spend the extra time at the gym...

Anyway, this for me a big workout, and I don't always do this. Usually I do little 12 minute interval bodyweight exercises, but they do make a difference...I've been really enjoying seeing the changes in my body!

So I'd love it if people join and share their exercises, even if the exercise you got for a day was like going up the stairs I know I have days like this! The point is not to get discouraged, because every little thing adds up...

I love zumba as well! It seems as though has really been catching on now.
Which workout do you do? This one is my favorite: http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMTA1NDI2MzEy.html
It's a really fun zumba power workout.

Lately I have been doing boot camp: bikini body makeover on Exercise TV on Hulu. It really works up a sweat.

Not sure about getting glute extensions or hip abductions, but I am trying desperately to quasi-shadow these P90X tapes. Its muuuurderrrrr, especially the yoga.

Is that a typo? If not, you either have a much different machine than what I use or you have some insanely strong leg muscles.

As for me, I was good this week and I managed to get to the gym after work every day. Between all of the holidays, vacation, snow days, and just plain laziness on my part, it's been a long time since I did that. On M,W, and F, I lifted weights for about an hour. On Tuesday and Thursday, I did about 40 minutes on the elliptical machine. I wear an heart rate monitor and try to keep it around 80% for the whole time.

Lol, it's most likely a different machine. The machine that's at the school gym here distributes the weight between both legs, so maybe that has something to do with it.

I should start doing zumba! I get tired of workouts sooo quickly so I have to keep things different and interesting, otherwise I give up...

My workout is hanging around horses... Not only is riding hard, sweaty work, the chores are even worse!
I workout most days. My MIL gave me her treadmill and I have free weights. I also go to the little gym at my apartment complex and use the elliptical there. I am in the middle of a very annoying plateau after losing 34lbs. I still have quite a bit more weight to lose and the past 3 weeks I've been bouncing around but not really losing. It's a bit frustrating, but I'm not giving up.

That one looks fun!!! I actually joined a zumba studio that is nearby. The class is generally about an hour long and its sooo fun. At the end of the last class the teachers divided the class in half and we did a dance off!!!!

Yesterday DH and I went to the gym. I did 30 minutes on the stationary bike, and then some side planks, and 3 sets of 15 squats on a bosu ball.

Today I'm going for a skate on the canal with a friend!

You guys are too good & too much!!!

I guess I got my exercise walking on some hard icy snow yesterday, falling on my knees, and (I'm not 18 anymore) struggling to get up without having to crawl home! I hope noone had their video cameras handy.

Saturdays are my lazy day. So today I hung out with my kitties.

Tomorrow is one of my running days...lots of snow for running in
post #19 of 75
On Saturdays I don't do much because I exercise in some form during the work week. This morning, I walked a mile on the treadmill, did another mile on the elliptical, and did 100 crunches on the Ab Lounger.

I am sitting here posting, thinking I really should be working off dinner and drinks from last night.

I workout five days a week. AND I HATE it. But I feel so good after doing it. We have a treadmill and an eliptical. I use the FIRM tapes/videos for my workouts. Have done those for twenty years on and off. I have some of the original video tapes from the FIRM. But like the later DVD workouts. It is usually about 45 minutes to an hour. I also like to walk and bike ride. Don't start that until Spring. HURRY UP SPRING, I am getting fat

I ran about 5km this morning already, and its just past 10 here.

You know, I loved the FIRM tapes! I have three of them now along with the TransFirmer stools, whatever they're called, and I was using them fairly faithfully until I had knee surgery last year. Now I'm afraid to use them because of the bouncing (the cardio DVDs, especially) and because of some of the positions they use.....I'm so afraid I'm going to hurt the knee again. But they're a wonderful way to exercise.

I'm like you....I hate exercising while I'm exercising. But when it's over, I feel so good.

Yesterday I did a 40 minute Insanity workout (Cardio and balance) ... it mine and my friend's first time doing Insanity, and we just picked a disc from the box...and we couldn't believe that this one was for the "recovery" week And then some stretching afterward.

Today I have to get on the treadmill for at least 30 mins (told myself I would), and do my splits stretching "routine".

Today I went to the gym after 2 days of no workouts other than walking around campus to get to my classes.
I did 60 glute extentions, 60 hip abductions, 30 knee raises, 40 crunches, and 20 reps on this tricep and pec machine, and some calf extentions......I feel like it was still not enough though, I barely felt any burn, not sure why, even though the weight was the same as usual...
I also tried to do some chin ups, but I am not nearly strong enough yet
I also did 30 minutes of cardio on the elliptical...
Tomorrow I have a really nice workout planned that's a combination of cardio and strength training with nothing but body weight...I am excited, because it's a pretty challenging one.

Tonight is my exercise night, which includes lifting weights, doing exercises, and doing crunches. That will take about 90 minutes to get everything done. I do that three times a week, sometimes four, depending on how I feel.

Every day, I walk 2.2 miles outside. Every night, I go for a mile on the elliptical. And I do 125 crunches on the Ab Lounger.

Will be heading downstairs to the torture chamber soon. Workout to one of the FIRM tapes. Can't wait for warmer temps to get out and walk and bike ride. I am thinking of joining Jazzercise, but just a thought. I used to go many, many moons ago. It might be fun again to workout with others. Not sure if I like that idea anymore. I could never go to one of those gyms with everyone working out around me. Not for me I get too crabby sometimes when I am working out. My DH calls my workouts "B****ercise"
