I wanted to post a little tribute to Blue and Sissy and the time they spent loving each other so much. These pictures make me sad...and I miss her so very much! I know Blue misses her too. Notices how her head is always on top...he is always snuggled into her like a little child would his mother. She was kind of motherly to him - always taking care of him. She was such a precious girl.

And this last picture is not of Blue and Sissy...but it warms my heart because of the endless snuggles like in the pictures above. Blue will never replace her, but I know now that getting Rex was the best thing for him. He NEEDED a friend with fur...and maybe Rex needed a great, great, great grandfather.

Would you believe that 99% of the time, they slept that way? Up until she got sick. After she got sick, they didn't do this anymore. It was one of the first reasons I knew something was wrong...more than just her not eating well enough. I am not sure why exactly - maybe Blue didn't want to hurt her or maybe she was distancing herself from him? I don't know. I just know that he cried and cried and cried after she died and since Rex came into his life, he has stopped crying. He is...better.

Aw, that's a sad story. I'm glad that Blue is feeling better now that he has a new friend. I'm sure Sissy is looking in on them and smiling.

I love the second picture where the cat has eyes closed and paws crossed.
They surely do have some soft looking places to catch a nap.

Those pics are just so sweet.
Sissy

I wish my two were that close. They barely tolerate each other.

I honestly thought all cats did this...until I came here and realized that not all do! LOL I think it is Blue's personality to want to be so close. Rex never initiates the snuggling, but he doesn't protest it either.

It's great that they were such good friends. That's what I wanted for
Lynxx
, to have a friend like that. Luna tried, but he really didn't like her. Luna and Midnight are play friends, but that's it, they don't cuddle together. When they try, they end up play/fighting.
