Well, some of you have been asking for pictures of our sweet little old lady.... so today I took some! The lighting was not the best where she is confined, so the pictures are not the best, sorry, but you can have an idea of how much she has changed!

Here she is November 1st, her first day here:

And here she is today!!

She has a runny eye because she went off her food for a little, thus off Lysine... But the vet said she is just fine and not to worry - She is eating like a Taz-devil again, my little piggie , and back on Lysine, so I am sure her eyes will be good in no time!

Isn't she puury?

She is just so YUMMY! Well done!

Confined? I thought she was fully integrated now? Or did you mean for just the first pic?

No otto, she is confined... I am not sure if you remember this? http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...3&postcount=77

I don't know if she will ever have the run of the house, and I have debated a lot what is the best for her, even if I should re-home her... I have felt guilty for having her scared, or in a small space... But the answer is no, I am not going to re-home her... She is fine here... She is being adored, spoiled, and taken care of... She doesn't have the whole house, but she has my office, which is where I spend 8 hours of my day. The baby gate is no longer covered so she can see the kitties...
Instead of re-homing her, I am working on having my life together so I can buy a house with a garden where she can be happily and safe outside with me. That's my plan for 2012, or 13.

WOW! What a difference! She looks so alert now and soooooooo purrty!!

I think as long as she's happy, content, loved, fed, and cared for, any space she lives in is sufficient for her. Seems like she's getting all that right now and you're doing a fantastic job with her.

What a sweet old soul she is; I just love Gracie. It's wonderful to see what love and care can do for a cat of any age. She is so lucky to have you. I just adore old kitties. Bless you for saving her and giving her a second chance at life

Gracie is so dramatic looking. A real "looker." You've done a fantastic job with her, for her, Carolina!

I, too, am looking forward to Gracie being added to the "Happy Cat Family" signature.

I think confining her to your office is just fine, as long as she wants. In time, the dynamics between your cats will change, and she may want to come out. Buying a house will be great for you, her, and the rest. I'm sure you have plans to build a secure enclosure for your garden at that time.

Not an enclosure, but the house will certainly have a cat safe fence.... and no trees close to the fence for them to jump over... I get off debt in 2011 including my car payments, so I should be good to go next year - Gracie has given me an extra push! The yard for the kittens is a must - then a buddy for Bugsy!
Oh, and for those asking about the signature, I am working on... On the signature and the blog header - I am not ignoring it
