Safety Reminder Shovelling Snow

I hear alot about people trying to shovel snow and having heart attacks, etc. Please to all of you who are like me and not as young as you used to be, play it safe and let someone else do this job. Stay safe, warm and full of good comfort food. My thoughts are with you all.

If you live in a college town, you can almost always get cheap snow removal from a student looking to pick up extra cash! Check online job boards at the schools....

Snow shoveling is not a good aerobic exercise!

I've got aching arms and lower back from shoveling today. Unfortunately there isn't anyone in my neighborhood willing to do it for me. The adults are at least my age or older, and their kids sit inside their homes watching their parents shovel.

Yeah, kids aren't interested in such hard work where I live.

Today I finally got help from a middle aged man who regularly turns up to help a neighbor with such work. Daryl is someone who appears to live on the margins. He was glad for the work.

This storm was too much for my usually helpful neighbors.

I'm not young so I expect to be very sore the next few days. But my heart is good and so is my back. I shoveled for about 4 hours altogether today.
