Lotus Natural Food

Thread Starter
Has anyone heard of and tried Lotus cat food? Their food is not grain free but I’ve been trying to find good quality grain food. They do not have a big selection in cat dry food (kitten, adult & low-fat) and nothing for wet yet. I haven’t tried this yet but I will buy a bag when I need more food. Something tells me this may be hard to find.

Ingredients for the adult food
Chicken, Chicken Meal, Whole Ground Brown Rice, Whole Ground Barley, Chicken Liver, Pea Fiber, Chicken Fat (Preserved with Natural Mixed Tocopherols and Citric Acid), Brewers Dried Yeast, Natural Chicken Flavor, Dried Egg Product, Oil Blend (Soybean oil, Olive Oil, Salmon Oil; Preserved with Natural Mixed Tocopherols and Citric Acid), Pumpkin, Apples, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Spinach, Blueberries, Dried Cranberries, Clams, Whole Ground Flaxseed, Calcium Carbonate, Salt, Potassium Chloride, Taurine, New Zealand Green Mussels, Dried Chicory Root Extract, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Dried Kelp, L-Ascorbyl- 2-Polyphosphate (a source of Vitamin C), Vitamin E Supplement, Ferrous Sulfate, DL-Methionine, Zinc Proteinate, Zinc Oxide, Manganese Proteinate, Niacin, Copper Proteinate, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Copper Sulfate, Manganous Oxide, Vitamin A Supplement, Sodium Selenite, Thiamine Mononitrate, Calcium Pantothenate, Riboflavin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Biotin, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Calcium Iodate, Dried Lactobacillus Acidophilus Fermentation Solubles, Dried Lactobacillus Lactis Fermentation Solubles, Dried Lactobacillus Casei, Fermentation Solubles, Rosemary Extract.

Here is their website if you want to check them out.

Not one I would consider feeding...

It is formulated to look good to a human not so much for the cats

One BAKED is cooked at 30-100% higher temps than extruded and baked foods are cooked 4 times as long.. ie far more nutrients lost

Brown rice is nearly = to whole corn in digestibility and barley is the same protein as wheat thus a high allergen... Pea Fiber with pumpkin and a variety of veggies are not needed a with grain cat food

Probably a good idea to check around the forum as well as other websites and see if anyone has been using it. Did you ask your vet about this food? It is one that I'm not familiar with.
