Abby lost her chair

After almost 10 years, my leather executive office chair finally gave up. 3 of the wheels broke. Since I don't spend as much time in front of the computer as I used to, I don't need such a large clunky chair. I recently bought a smaller task chair that doesn't take up so much room.

The weather here has been outrageous! Either colder than Siberia, or snowing, making it difficult for me to take out the old chair. So I left it by my computer. Over the last couple weeks Abby has been sitting in that chair when I am at the computer, and so have the kittens periodically. In fact it is the chair that Abby sat in while trying to figure out who was on the other side of the bathroom door when I brought Spencer and Katie home.

Tonight I finally got tired of the clutter and took out the chair, and my broken printer.

Now poor Abby is trying to figure out how to get her chubby body up on top of me while I'm at the computer. I think in time she will figure out the computer shelf by my knees like Chynna did. If she doesn't, I guess I'll have to pull up a kitchen chair next to me while I'm at the computer so that Abby can lay down beside me. Heaven forbid that I should be somewhere in her line of sight that has no place for her to paste herself up against me!!

Aww, poor baby. You have such a mean meowmy, throwing out your chair.
Make her bring it back.

Oh no! Not the chair, the fav chair!!! Now you have to buy Abby a new chair. But any chair will do for now so she can be close to you

Yep! It was her favourite chair!! When she was a kitten she used to run across the room, leap into that chair and send it rolling and spinning across the room, with her spinning along with it, until it hit a wall. Then she would meow at me until I moved it away from the wall so she could do it all over again.

I can't count the times I came home from work to find the chair against the door!

Right now she's hiding in the bedroom because I was vacuuming, but when she comes out I'll put a kitchen chair next to my computer chair for her. Any chair will do. She just likes to be pasted up against me as often as she can be. She's such a meowmy's girl!!
