This is going to sound really stupid, but here goes.

When Rex came home, he had one of those goopy, sick eyes. We treated it and then Blue got it and we treated it and then Bear got it and we treated it. Everyone is fine now...no goopy eyes, no half-closed eyes, no vomiting, no drooling, excessive saliva, etc. However, Rex has these random sneezes. I mean, about 5 times a day, he will just sneeze once out of the blue. It seems weird to me. Blue has sneezed before, sure, but generally it is something like he sniffed the dryer sheet and the dust got in his nose - he sneezes for a few minutes and then it is over. Rex's is different. He sneezes 5 times a day...but one little sneeze at a time. I am just baffled.

He is on Panacur AND Metro now for Giardia for 5 days. The diarrhea stopped for a week and was formed and now back to diarrhea. Hoping this mixture works for him like the shelter claims it worked for Bear once the meds were stopped.

Anyway, no one else is sick with the sneeze thing. I am going to mention it to my vet, but I am not sure how well received a sneeze or two will be when we are dealing with so much more with the resistant Giardia. Any advice you can give me here would be great. Obviously, if it gets worse, I will take him in to the vet. He was thoroughly examined by a vet the day I got him - 4 weeks ago.

Oh...and Rex is playful, active, happy, and has a very healthy coat. He also has a robust appetite and drinks plenty of water. He seems completely healthy other than the random sneezes and the stupid Giardia.

How badly was his nose stuffed up when he was sick? Either the infection left some damage to his sinuses that is still healing or there is still some inflammation in his sinuses now. Talk to the vet about it, but unless there's some discharge there may not be much to treat.
In a human, we'd simply take an anti-inflamatory and sinus meds. Cats don't have that option.

I have one kitty that had a really bad kittenhood URI. He sneezes a bit more easily than the other cats and has a really poor sense of smell left from all the damage the inflammation did.

You may try running some humidifiers in the home if you aren't already.

Has your weather changed? Is there snotty discharge? If any discharge, is it clear or colored? Both of my kitties are sensitive to weather changes and seasonal changes. Hannah is more sensitive due to her herpes, but we give her an OTC antihistamine and Evening Primrose Oil drops and it clears up the sneezes for the most part.

I too have heard about Evening Primrose Oil, I will have to try that for my boy. Pipsqueak has a few issues one of which is sneezing, but just on occasion. And there are absolutely no other symptoms just sneezing. I usually just put him on L-Lysine for about seven days 250 mg. a day. I grind it up in a coffee maker and put it in wet food and he eats it right up
and usually within the first two days of the Lysine he is over the sneezes. I think he has that herpes issue and it flairs up on occasion. Especially this past eight months, new kittens that moved in

For the EPO, use 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon daily. Be sure to get the pure oil, not the kind with alcohol in it.

I don't know how old your Rex is, but Luna sneezed a few times a day when she first came here. She was 12 weeks old then. The vet said that is normal with kittens, and usually they stop by 6 months old. If not then I'd have to bring her back. She seems to have stopped the sneezing she hasn't sneezed in a long time. She's 8 months old now. I don't know how true that information about waiting until 6 months old is, because that was given to us by a vet we no longer trust or go to. But in Luna's case it was true, since she no longer sneezes.
