Moved into this place in oct 09 and there was 2 unfixed cats. Had them done and the boy has warmed up to me....but since the snow started falling wed he refused to come in...no sign of him. I know he survived at least a winter before me being here but worried cause hes the type to sleep ON the snow so fear hes trapped under shed or something.

Best wishes for the two of them!
Hoping they found some shelter in this crazy weather!

Many good wishes that he's found somewhere warm and safe, and that he gets home soon!

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
Oh no! The very first winter we cared for ferals, Tuxedo was still an outside kitty. He literally went to ground - and took refuge in the ground hog hole in which the mom had the litter. Gary had to dig him out.

OMG!! HES HOME...sort of I saw him but when opened the door he ran off so not like him and when I went to street I saw he had a friend with him...Thin looking shorthair tabby seen once before. Set a trap to see if I will get the other one. Did have a kitten appear out of thin air severly injured a few months ago and this could be mom to it.

I walked the dog after seeing him as usually he will walk with me but not today
Better luck tom:S My husbands got to be a bit relaxed...I just had these images of him under a snowed in shed starving and I was really not feeling to happy.

OMG cat in the hole getting dug out
poor lil one.

I figured I am leaving that trap out 24/7 as I want this one boy cat and now the tabby as last thing I want is more cats(umm I have enough for the block thank you very much....)

Glad to hear you have seen him again, but I'll send out vibes so you can successfully trap them both.
Our Buddy went to ground when we started to get heavy snow and when he was not showing up for his food I had to go make a trail for him to get out of his hole in the ground he was living in. He was snow bound, and I know what you mean about the worry. I was so stressed out thinking the poor guy was in a frozen hole in the ground, starving I kept waking up all night and checking for him.
Is there any way you can track him and his little friend in the snow? At least you would get and idea on where to look for him if he needs digging out?
Good luck and hopefully the weather will force him in.

I know the feeling in wanting to trap and get them TNRd. I am the only one in my neighborhood doing this and if I didn't trap those girls, I would have had KITTENS galore in the Spring. You are doing a great job!! And so glad you spotted that cat. Sometimes, I don't see a particular cat for a few days and worry too, with all the terrible weather and such. But they always seem to survive one way or another.
. It is common for them to disappear for periods, usually not to worry, YEAH RIGHT
