I have an older rescued male (10+) Siamese mixed cat that insist on licking my mustache and beard over the last month. I have had him for over 1 1/2 years now. He is among my same other 4 cats cats before him. There is no competition for my love as I can see. He will lick me for 2-3 minutes at a time without stopping about 5 days a week if allowed. Why does he do this? I am a male. Is this love or just something else?

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

one of our cats just recently began "grooming" my hubby, who let his beard grow a little longer in the past few weeks. DH loves it, because it's something special that I can't share in

Well, I guess that depends on whether it bothers you or not. My DH loves the fact that Stinkpot does this to him! He's one of the gang

I'm not too sure but I wouldn't worry about it...my cat licks my boyfriend's head all the time. She used to lick mine too, which does worry me a little because I've got long hair and she's gagged a time or two because she got some in her throat. I put a stop to it for the most part, but she still catches me occasionally when I'm sleeping.
Unless you're losing mustache hair I doubt it'll hurt any. If your cat thinks he's grooming you I'd wonder if he thinks he's the alpha in the house. Its probably just some love and affection though

My cat Harlequin loves to lick. She especially likes my face and hair, but will sometimes lick other family members' face/hair. I always figured it was just her being "maternal". She also likes to groom the other cats, and when we had a foster kitten she was constantly bathing him.
