Good morning everyone!!

Today's question is,

When you first wake up, what is usually the first thing you eat or drink? Are you a coffee or tea drinker and do you eat breakfast?

I must have my breakfast, so it's a mug of coffee and two slices of wholemeal toast with peanut butter and a sliced banana on top

I don't have time to eat anything at home during the week; it's usually a mad dash about the house trying to get ready for work. Once I'm in office, though, I prepare a mug of Timothy's Italian Blend or Caribou's Caribou blend in the Keurig and enjoy my coffee. Then, around 10, my breakfast is a Granny Smith apple.

For me, it depends if I have an early morning class or an afternoon class. On days when I have a morning class I wake up, get ready in my sleepy zombie like condition and I'm out. On days when I have afternoon classes, I wake up and go straight for the food- I usually eat a fruit with some cottage cheese I just had pineapple and it was sooo delicious.

Coffee!!! I go for the leftover coffee from the day before, pop it in the microwave, have an orange or a banana.

After my run, I have my main breakfast - usually a Trader Joe's whole wheat English muffin with Weight Watchers' Cream Cheese and reduced sugar jam.....and freshly brewed coffee. I love breakfast.

Water and medicine here, too. Then I have an hour before I should eat anything, so I just don't bother with breakfast.

Lately if I do eat anything before lunch it's been simple, stuff like rice or an Ensure.

Coffee, only one in the morning. Lately I have been crazy for those Sunrise energy bars from Costco. Or a protein bar.

Every day is different. Today was a cup of tea and a banana. Yesterday was coffee and pancakes.

coffee and a bowl of oatmeal with walnuts cinnamon and agave nectat. Ontop either berries or an apple

I am not a coffee drinker. Sometimes hot tea. It just depends on the day. Breakfast usually turns into brunch by the time I get the kids off to school and get my 2 year old settled into an activity.

I don't really have breakfast, usually just a bananna or piece of toast, but of course I have to have coffee, and a V-8.

Same here, followed by a cup of coffee. The trains run so late nowadays because of a new railway station being built that I get into work 30 - 45 minutes early and have a second cup of coffee and breakfast there.

The first thing I drink is a glass of water when I take my thyroid medication and then I have a cup of decaf tea, I don't eat breakfast in the week, I don't have time before taking the kids to school so I usually have something around 11am.At weekends I like toast and pate.x

Water first, then coffee, then I start in on the soda. I eat breakfast at work about four hours after I've been up; usually a granola pancake with ham and scrambled eggs with cheese. I'm not the poster child for good nutrition

Well a couple of us mentioning meds are on different ones. Thankfully I seem to have no thyroid issues.. .that's the last thing I need. I have to take PPI in the morning to protect it, at least for now.

The first thing I do is drink a few sips of water. My throat is always dry. Then I'll make breakfast and have tea, or just stick with the water, like in the Summer when I don't drink anything hot.

Normally I skip breakfast completely. On the rare occasions that I eat breakfast, I'm hungry for the rest of the day, no matter how much I eat. But I do enjoy a nice cup of coffee in the morning. Sometimes I'll have tea, but more often than not, it's coffee.
