I have been sitting here petting my new cat (the rescue) and he of course rolls over so I pet his stomach (he likes his chest and tummy MASSAGED not just pet). As I am rubbing, he twists his head around and stares at me, I look down and he's just gazing at me with this intense look, then does a twist and muzzles my chest.

I have been petting him inside for 1/2 he now and he's done this sequence like 5 times.

Never had a pet that seemed to have such strong emotion in his eyes when I pet him!

Cought it on camera. He stares at me till I look down at him then gives me a nuzzle.

Me and my mountain lion. He's so big he's actually a little scary if you have never met him. Sit down with him and this happens!

I'm just a loss at why someone dumped him! How could you just throw this away. It really puts strays in a new perspective for me...

We had a big guy like that at our shelter a while back. His face even looked like a lion! Looked like a killer, but he was a lover. I told several people he was a cat a guy wouldn't be ashamed to have around the house, but a woman would love with all her heart.

He's just so thankful you saved him and he has a human to love on!
It's wonderful that you've already bonded with him.

I'm so bummed though, I was going to let him inside (he's in my sunroom) tonight to sleep with me but with the finding of his worms, he needs to stay out there when not cuddling. I have 2 kiddos, and I can't have him roaming the house when he has those.

How long does it take for the wormer to complete it's job and the animal to be safe around kids?

He is allot of kitty to love. He is very lean and muscular, hardly any fat.

My mom came over today and saw him. She said 'OMG, he looks like a mountain lion!' lol.

You don't have to worry about the kitty spreading worms to your kids. I freaked out last year when my girls had them and I my baby was still tiny. I was pretty much told that the baby would have to eat their poo to get them.
But it might not hurt to let him stay out there if your kids are small enough to eat stuff off the floor. I actually saw one fall out of Mooch's tush (tmi I know) and never found it... Looked basically like rice to me! Ewww! But actually that is how I found out they had them in the first place!

Goodness !!!! He loves you. That close-up picture of him looking at you is priceless. He is sooooo thankful you rescued him and so am I
. AND again he is huge. We have one cat at the shelter who could give Simba a run for his money. His name is Lion. As in mountain lion. He is a tabby, dumped in a box in the parking lot, which he busted out of and was sitting at the front door of the shelter. He is the same size as your Simba, maybe even bigger. When they post his picture on their website, I will let you know.

Omg, that worm story is gross! I checked his tushie a few times and nothing rice like. All I see is the round worms in his poo after I gave him the wormer. I also gave him some apple cider vinegar in his food and water to help flush them out.

I would go on a complete cleaning frenzy if I saw one fall out of kitty's butt. I get all grossed out by that.

My girls are 9 and 3, so they don't eat much on the floor. But they do wrestle on it and play with their toys.

Feral- I would love to see a photo of lion! Send me a pm with the link when its up! That sucks they couldn't even wait till you were open to drop him off.
