Jeaolusy? Depression?

Hello there,

I recently posted a thread about my new cat being aggressive (hissing and growling) towards the old one. Well, the hissing is practically gone, now they tolerate each other although they're not best friends... they sometimes "play" together pawing each other through the door crack, but that's it. They've been in "full contact" for almost 2 weeks.

Nevertheless, 2 days ago my old cat was lethargic, sleeping almost all day long, didn't want to eat nor play. The following day he ate, but not as much as he usually does. Today he ate more, but still, I took him to the vet. He said he's fine physically, but he thinks it's stress, even though the cats have been living together "fully" for 2 weeks. Why behave like this after 2 weeks?

What should I do? He still sleeps a lot and doesn't play, but eats some, uses the litter box normally, etc. Should I consider getting a Feliway diffuser? Has it worked for those with more than one cat, even after weeks since their introduction?

P.S.: the new cat is a 7 months old female, and the old one is a 3 year old male. Both sterilised.

Is your cat lethargic? Has your vet ran a blood test? How much is she eating? Make sure she eats well.... Not eating can make her very very sick, with liver failure - you do not want that - if all fails, try everything, tuna, fancy feast, treats, but get her eating...
Yes, Feliway can definitely help... Try getting her some safe spots and vertical space - shelves, window sills, maybe a room where only her can have access to it.
Try playing with her alone, and see if she responds to it. Separate them again for a day and see if she gets better. I am just trying to figure out if she is just sleeping more or if in fact she is lethargic - if she is lethargic, you need to take her back to the vet, as she could be sick...

Cats can take a while to get accustomed to each other, 2 weeks is not too long...

He has been eating more today, not the amount he usually eats, but more than yesterday. The vet didn't run a blood test as he thought the cat is completely okay, and the cat was extremely nervous and wouldn't let him do much (he even scratched my face slightly). So he was more nervous than usual, maybe it's a coincidence, maybe not...
A while ago I dropped a mouse in front of him and he went after it, but didn't keep playing...
