Aww, your Simba is adorable!
I love the white paws, the purrsonality, and his eyes- there's something in his eyes that just really get me!

Thanks for sharing, and keep 'em coming!

DarkMavis - Yes! I will keep them coming! Where should I add them to make them easier to find?
I was going to edit the first post on this thread but I cannot edit it.

captiva - Thank you!

Hehehe!

I do my best... here are two "less than dignified" ones for you! The best part is he struck poses after I snapped the goofy ones.

I'm glad you think so! Especially since you said he reminds you of Lynxx.

I'm trying to get more clear shots of him when he's awake and alert because most of the pictures are of him sleeping or falling asleep!

April,

Your Simba is truly a camera hog and is obviously very happy. You and your family must be very good parents to Simba because it's obvious he's a very happy boy

I'm so happy to hear you say that!
He's our first cat and he just got here on the 8th. I joined the forums to read up as much as I can from experienced cat owners and also have been doing as much cat reading as I can in general. I was afraid that him being already grown-up and from the shelter... that he might have a hard time adjusting but he has made it easy.

The first day he got here he was scared in his carrying box (he was abandoned in a box, so I'm guessing this has to be a big part of it) so I took him into my jacket once we were in the car. Once we were home we lead him to a "safe room" that we had set up for him but much to our surprise he chose to be in the living room and stay close to us at all times. He kept coming to us for affection from that very first day on... but didn't make any sounds! We thought he was possibly mute! Now he makes all sorts of sounds and his voice is surprisingly high toned and gentle. I guess he was just shy.

He's so easy-going! I'm able to clip his nails, clean his ears and check his teeth with little struggle or complaint. (Tooth brushing might be another story... I'm currently looking into getting him a dental kit.)

And yes, he doesn't mind a camera at all.
Which is fine by me!

Thank you very much! I hope to keep him healthy and happy for the rest of his life annnd make as few newbie mistakes as possible!

By the way I browsed through your older threads and saw pictures of your babies!

I love Domino's "beauty mark."
Lizbeth's eyes are so striking!
Mama has that wonderful black patch on her nose with black ears to match!
And Megan looks like a penguin with her black riding hood + white shirt!!!

George and McKenzie were quite beautiful too!

Post more pictures if you get the chance!

We spent hours playing the other day with his favorite mouse on a string and then some time playing tinfoil ball soccer... This vigorous workout is nothing compared to his mastery of champion kneading and napping acrobatics.
