A while back, people were posting things they made, pics of their hobbies. I didn't know how to post then.

I love to work with wool felt. This one I gave to my daughter. I kept one with all the pumpkins the same color. I like this one better.

I especially love the fall colors.

What do you craft or build?

That's pretty. I used to hook rugs, but had to
give it up because of all the trouble I have with my wrists.

Oooohhh, how pretty! I make cat beds and cat toys, and am currently working on a big pile of toys/pillows using up the scraps of fabric collected from making the beds. I'm making them to take to the shelter. It's fun because since I am making so many, I've started putting little variations in them, the creative juices are flowing!

For instance I've put some little handles on some for dragging. And I am trying some shapes, like the one that kind of looks bone shaped, it is made for hugging.

The cats have tried them out and approved of them. Only one, so far has been claimed and will be kept. Mazy likes that little charcoal ball, so I'm going to let her keep it. She doesn't ask for much.

Well...Queen Eva likes the Hugging Toy, but she has plenty of other toys to hug, so I am letting that one go.

Here are a few, I have a lot more to make.

I've also finally figured out a way to put a care instruction tag on the beds I make. I laminate them in packing tape and sew a button on, and sew a loop into the top seam to hook the button through, so the label can be removed when the bed is being laundered. It's taken me three years to come up with that idea, and it originated from when I started sewing handles on some of the toys!

That's adorable - Looks great!

I don't craft - Well, in my old apartment I sometimes painted boxes and stencilled them. I guess it was a phase but some things ended up looking nice like a box lid I painted burgundy then turned to be diamond shaped, with a gold fleur de lys stencil in the middle. I hung it on the wall to cover up a weird bump near the ceiling --it looked really good. I like decorating magazines and catalogs. I like HGTV a lot. I still don't know what that bump was- It was definitely noticeable but not very large- Perhaps part of a pipe. Afraid to nail it, I used sponges and hot glue.

Just wanna add: One HGTV show that's very crafty is "Design on a Dime". The crafting they do is hardly ever for pure looks - Meaning crafts are usually done for functionality (solutions to house problems) and looks. It's very much my cup of tea. The talent on that show is really amazing - They are solution-oriented but very crafty. Must be in the genes because you can tell they love what they do. I would say DoaD definitely focuses on solutions, but with a heavy dose of purpose-driven crafting. Highly recommended http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Design_on_a_Dime

Love the piece you made! I see wool felting in different craft magazines, but have never tried it. I do lots of other crafty things, tho.
