Puffed Tails

Let's see those puffed tails! Queen Eva, in her teen age phase seems to find something to puff her tail about on a daily basis. It goes down as fast as it puffs up so I've been having some trouble getting a shot, here's one I took last night

Queen Eva has a hysterically funny Puffed Tail. It Puffs HUGE from about half way up from her body, but doesn't make it to the tip. And not only does it puff but all the fur separates.

These pics don't do it justice, by the time I got to the camera her tail had started to go back down.

Mazy, too, gets a funny puffed tail, but not quite as dramatic as Queen Eva's. I've never yet managed to get a pic of Mazy's though.

I don't think I've ever seen Tolly with a Puffed Tail, in all his 12 years. Jennie's has puffed a little bit, but she mostly just keeps her Hackle raised.

That is really cute!

How could a cat puff its tail without puffing its whole body?

I adore that Queen. Does she ever do anything that isn't CUTE?? I doubt it.

I don't have a picture at the ready, but holy cow, otto! How is QE's tail so puffy in that first picture? That's the same size my friend's longhaired racoon-looking black cat's tail gets, and QE has much shorter fur. Is the a shorthair/longhair mix with every bit of the longhair in her tail?

When Nora gets excited she puffs her tail up but not her body.

I'll have to try getting a picture of Nora will a puffed tail. She gets one all the time also. I have yet to see the boys with one.

Okay, that's really, really cute of Queen Eva! I love that she puffs out her tail, but the rest of her stays sleek and smooth! So cute!

Here's one of Larry - but this is the way his tail looks all the time. I think it's naturally puffy, or either he's on edge and freaked out all the time.

Holland only puffs her tail (just her tail, not her whole body) when she is scared, which means I'm probably trying to diffuse a "situation", which isn't the best time to snap a photo...

Queen Eva's tail is so cute and puffy!

I guess you're right Cheryl, Queen Eva is the Epitome of Cute. I just can't get enough of her, and the other cats, I notice, watch her all the time too. We are all hopelessly besotted. Thanks for looking!

Nope, Queen Eva is a short hair, though her hair does seem longer than it did when she was younger, she's developing a fringe on her underside, I haven't been able to get a good picture of that yet.

Yep, that is one pouffy tail! Beautiful. Ootay's tail was like that. It was so full it seemed to float through the air independent of her body as she walked.

Queen Eva is in her teenage phase (another thread was posted on that) and her Puffed Tail seems to be a part of that. She is Puffing it for just about everything!

Last night we were Playing Chase The Kibble Game. A kibble Queen Eva was chasing down got stuck under a box. As she harried it and fussed at it her tail Puffed. I laughed so hard I almost wet my pants. Sorry if that is too much information, but honestly I never saw anything so funny. Wish I'd had the video camera going.
