This is Beeba

Here is a picture of Beeba, my sweet boy. His mom, Spot, died shortly after I rescued them from living in the big machines that were re doing our road 2 years ago.

When I first saw him, he was trotting down the road behind his mom. I hollered to my DH that she had the baby with her. All I could make out were 4 white feet because the rest of him blended in with the brush at the side of the road. He was so scared, he wouldn't even look at you.

After many nights laying on the floor with them in their room, he started to come around. Spot, was quicker to tame down. What a sweet gal she was.

His fur is so sleek and soft, you can hardly feel it when you pet him. He is our bed buddy and is just precious to me.

He is also my struvite boy. But, that seems to be under control (knock on wood). He chirps when running around the house and loves the laser, or any twist ties he finds. I take them away. Loves laying on the back of the chair to see "his" birds on the feeder.

He is beautiful, just beautiful. I'm so glad you were able to bring him inside.

He looks EXACTLY like his dad, Hosta. Right down to the white stockings on the back feet and boots on the front.

It was funny one morning, I hadn't seen him in a couple of days before I took him in. I had convinced myself he was "trapped" in a front end loader out front on the road. So, in my old robe and slippers, early, before the men arrived to work, I searched that machine. I opened motor doors, climbed up on the tracks, or whatever the wheels are called. I was so upset.

Well, he turned up later that day. Needless to say my neighbors prob wondered what the heck is she doing? But, I will say, I know the inner workings of front end loaders now. I could probably get a permit to drive one!

Thanks Cally for your nice comments on my boy!

Thanks so much. It was stressful as the day for the re opening of the road was getting closer. It was either bring them in, or see them on the road. And that was not an option.

My heart broke after Spot passed away, how he would call for her around the house. ugh. Just awful.

But, I tell him your mom raised you good, little boy. She would be proud.

Aw, Beeba is a gorgeous cat, and what a heartwarming story of how you rescued him and his mom (even though she died soon after. At least she knew love before she died).

Thanks. It was stressful as the workers got a little more done every day. I would pray a machine would break just to buy a bit more time to catch them. Once, we caught Spot just to see if indeed she was a nursing mom. She was, so my DH rushed her to the vet, got her shots, and we let her go again!

I never thought we would get another chance. Luckily, we did!!

I think my name and address are written where all the strays and ferals can see it!

It's a family tradition. My great grandmother, my mom, me and now my daughter love animals. There are worse vices we could have!!

Thanks for looking!
