J/k! You all know the ruse. haha Seriously, though...

I got a hold of the person that runs the rescue, and come to find out that Jack is potentially spoken for. Someone had voiced interest in him, but they couldn't make any final decisions until after they got back from vacation, and they are on vacation right now. According to the message she left for me (I haven't been able to actually talk directly to her yet) she was going to try to figure out when they were getting back from their vacation for me.

I'm disappointed, but happy that he is getting a home, though. I think I still would like a 4th cat to complete our kitty family. Do you think that it would be easy enough to integrate another male cat into our family, or do you think the boys will be territorial already? I don't want to cause a spraying war in our house right before we move. We haven't had any problems so far with the boys going outside of their litter boxes, and I don't want that to change.

There are two that I am considering if Jack goes to another home:

Colby (black tuxedo)

Teddy Bear (blue tuxedo...he looks older in the pictures than they say he is, though...looks a lot like Nora!!
)
http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/1...ter_friendly=1

I would like to figure it out soon, b/c I want to have time to see if either of them would be a good fit for our family before we move 7 hours away. KWIM??

What would you do??

I really like Teddy Bear for the matching kitties idea, but completely gave up on trying to choose online, as personality matters first and foremost IMO. I'd take a frumpy outgoing lap kitty over a fussy prima donna. I would (and did) eventually just take time off and put every shelter in the area into my GPS, and spent a few days visiting them all, playing with the kitties, and let the kitties pick me.

I like the little upside down tuxi boy!!!!

Reminds me a little of my Tex, but T-bone Twister would NEVER let me or anyone hold him like that.

It also looks like the gray and white has a sissy he's close with... maybe someone can take them both ... and NO that is not a hint.

I'd vote for the tuxedo, considering that's what I'm trying to get for myself right now

I'm sorry it's not going to work out with their real brother. That would have been nice.

IMHO, males are easier than females. You'd be more likely to have protest out of a Nora (as an older resident female having to adjust to a big household change) than I think you would a younger male - provided that any male you take in is cat friendly. The two boys you have now would probably see another playful young male cat as just another playmate, especially if they came from an environment where they were used to a few more cats around.

Well I got a call from their former foster mom today and said that she only wanted to show Jack to the other people but they had shown interest in a different cat, so Jack IS still available!

She is bringing him over tomorrow at 1:00!!! Yay!! All three boys, back together! I'm so excited!

So, are we taking bets that this new one acts more like Thomas or Walter? I am hoping Thomas because having 2 "special" cats may drive me nuts.

The foster mom said he is more like Thomas. Not so clingy and weird like Walter is. HAHA!

Could your "friend" talk with my husband, please. I'm trying to convince him we need to adopt a kitty friend that's laid back so Tumbles will leave Hannah alone. Besides that, I'm missing the companionship Callie brought to my life and want a snuggle bug kitty. Mark's not buying it and putting his foot down!
Perhaps your "friend" can convince Mark how beneficial it is to agree with the wife.

LOL If I can convince GeramÃ[emoji]169[/emoji] to let me get FOUR cats, I'm sure with some persistence you can convince your husband also.
Good luck. All I had to do was ask in a really sweet voice and get the kids (DS and our niece) involved. haha!

Hiding from my SS!
I am glad you are getting Thomas and Walter's brother to round out the family. Three young males - good luck!!!

To those looking to adopt more kitties... Remember, it is easier to ask forgiveness than permission.

Or do what I did. Pick a kitty. Call DH from the shelter and say "Honey, I found the perfect new addition. I am at the shelter with him right now and if I don't adopt him they might put him to sleep and I would be heartbroken. So it's OK if I adopt him, right?"

Once you convince him, Stephanie---and I know you will---you know who to call!
