my two cats knocked over grape nut cereal while I was gone and I'm sure ate some, I can't find anything online about it - is it really bad?

Ingredients: whole grain wheat flour, wheat flour, malted barley flour, salt, dried yeast, soy lecithin.

Doesn't appear that there is anything there poisonous to cats.

yeah I looked at the box after I posted the thread. I think they'll be ok, if not an upset tummy at most. I don't think they ate much I measured what was left. Heck, I don't even like the cereal I can't imagine they enjoyed it.

Just remember...no grapes and no nuts in grape nuts.

The fodder of stand-up for years.

What? No grapes or nuts in grape nuts???

Your cats should be OK, just keep an eye on them.

Thats like all those "fruit juices" which contain no juices or fruits of any kind, and is just diluted corn syrup.

I suppose it does sound more appealing than "100% flavored Corn Juice" though, heh!

Plenty of things there that cats shouldn't eat as their primary diet for their whole lives, but nothing there that's harmful at all from an accidental eating! Unless one happened to have a particular allergy of course. But you'd see signs of that right away.

Also good, cereal choice. That's my favorite. P:

It won't hurt them. One of my parents' cats used to beg for Grapenuts and got some (with milk) at least once a week. She drank coffee, too - you had to guard your cup with her around.

My dad used to tell us that grapenuts were made with grape seeds. I think we even believed him when we were little.
