Someone I know (the name and wedding location, etc. shall be changed to protect the guilty) got married in exotic "Bali." The wedding pictures were beautiful. Anyway, we'll call our bride "Kim." Kim is tiny and I'm sure her ring size is very small. While she was getting dressed for the wedding, she insisted that a young girl in her wedding party try on her diamond. It didn't fit. Kim insisted, forcing the ring on the little girl's finger. Well, you guessed it...after the ring was on, the little girl couldn't take it off. Kim threw a diva fit, screaming that she was not going to get married, etc. The little girl's mother tried to calm Kim down. The little girl's finger was swelling. Finally, someone had to be called in to cut the ring off. Then the wedding went on as planned. I am really shocked at Kim's actions. Kim is generally a nice person. Weddings can be very stressful, but my goodness....

While the bride should not have reacted that way since SHE was the one who forced the ring on the finger of the little girl, I totally see how it would happen. I'm prone to those types of outbursts when I'm stressed and hormonal. You never know how stress will affect someone and how they'll react over the seemingly tiniest thing.

Let's just hope she doesn't grow up to resent jewelry and diamonds!

Oh boy. What a silly thing to do! I honestly don't understand the crazy reactions to such little things around weddings. Isn't what matters being with your family, and the man/woman you love? Such silliness, lol.

She's lucky she didn't scare her groom out of the wedding!

IMHO, wedding mishaps are part of what you will remember years later. I can think of three things funny that really make me smile from my own wedding. I really like Kim; I just didn't expect that from her.

It seems like even the nicest people lose their minds when it comes to weddings. My friend is getting married next Tuesday and does not even know what she is going to wear.

I feel sorry for the groom too!

I could never work with Brides. I'd want to slap em! I know how emotional I got about things with my own; but that is NO excuse for bad behavior! I know if I had gotten out of line like that my mother to this day would not hesitate to let me know it!
