Introducing: Spencer and Katie!!

You're lucky you've got a male and a female - imagine telling those sweeties apart if they were the same gender!

They would let you! Especially Katie! Right now Spencer is too curious about what is on the other side of the door to bother with lots of lovings, though he sure does love them when I manage to catch up to him.

I hear activity in the bathroom. I turned the light out for the night, and now they hear me out here. I have to give them their last dose of pain medication and their wet food for breakfast and give them cuddles.

This afternoon I'll be putting up baby gates so that they can all see each other and give Spencer and Katie a chance to have a little more room to roam for a few hours.

Awwwww.....just lookit those beautiful babies! And Abby is stunning, too, I didn't realize she is a Red Girl.

Congratulations to all of you, I look forward to many stories coming from your household!

Yep! My little (well, not so little) red head! I think she's gorgeous too!

Oh Linda, they're are absolutely adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't realize Abby was red either - she is soooooooo huggable!

While Katie's hair grows back in from the spay procedure, you'll have plenty of time to figure out how to tell them apart.

They both have shaved bellies because Spencer had a hernia. So they are basically identical twins to my eyes, even though they are different genders.

So far the only way I know is the dark tufts at the tip of Katie's ears. And I haven't seen them side by side for any length of time so I can't tell for sure if Katie is actually darker than Spencer or not. But I was looking at their facial markings and if there is a difference, it's so slight that I can't tell the difference!

Here are some from today. Can't see the kittens, but they are there behind the gate laying down watching Abby. Spencer growled a few times. Abby was quiet. Katie was closer to the gate and Spencer hung out in the back near the bathroom door.

Here is another with Abby rolling around on the floor in front of the gate with a new toy. The kitties are right behind the gate looking out.

Oh I forgot about the hernia! I'm sorry - but that's too funny! (Not the hernia, but that they both have shaved bellies so they're still identical! ).

GREAT pictures - fabulous that Abby's more enchanted with the toy than worried about the babbies!

I know. I'm hoping that as they get older and bigger that there are some changes that will make telling them apart more evident.

Me too! She loves to have her belly rubbed and nuzzled! In fact she often sleeps beside me all night, with her back next to my side, and hugging my arm against her belly so I can scratch her neck/chest on demand.

Adorable! I'm a total sucker for tabby kittens!
