That cat looks pretty calm to begin with.
I don't have sound here at work, so I'll have to listen to her commentary when I get home tonight, but it looks pretty simple. I bet she doesn't work with ferals, though.

LOL! Not even would it work for ferals. But it is a good video for the domestic cat and the cat owner who has help to pill......

My ferals would have snapped her pretty little finger off!

You're right, ferals are a COMPLETELY different story but I thought it would be helpful to those who have to give their domestic babies a pill. Her technique would work just as well even if you didn't have a friend to help. I thought too, it would give my USA friends a snippet of an Aussie accent that wasn't that bl**dy Steve Erwin.

somehow looking at the clip, it reminds me of the way the vet does it..but of course with help that is...somehow, if i'm doing it alone, it would be much tougher...

My cat Lily is SOO smart that as soon as ANYONE (including those she loves) adopts a professional veterinary stance and goes to do ANYTHING with her mouth, is treated to a screaming, hissing, writhing mass of teeth and sheer muscle contortions. She will absolutely NOT tolerate anyone clamping a hand over her shoulders and neck. I have to laugh because the first time I took her to the vet, as soon as the vet tech loomed over her and even REACHED OUT toward her neck, Lily became demon-possesed! I am not kidding! Her eyes got big, cold, and hard, she twisted her neck and shoulders around like an owl, growled like a lion, and literally thrashed herself right off the exam table. And this was all BEFORE anyone laid a hand on her! The vet and tech ended up smooshing her in the corner of the room with a towel and their knees and finally were able to jam her in the rear with a shot. She accomplished cowing a professional vet AND a technican all with NO CLAWS AT ALL!! She only had her teeth and she still scared the bejesus out of everyone in the room. Exorcism in exam room 3 needed!! LOL! She would react the same if pilled I am sure. Lily had better not ever need a vet because I don't plan on taking her to one ever again unless she is on death's door (then she will be too weak to put up a fight hopefully)
