Poor Ossie!
for him and for you.
Hopefully your vet can get this figured out and get him back to himself. Sending lots more

Just a thought...will he eat yoghurt? I know some cats (my Freya included) adore it...if he'll eat that, maybe mix a bit of his food into it?

Ossie, I'm so sorry he's not doing better. I feel just terrible for you.

Al paws crossed. At least he can get more fluids while at the vet. it may be time for some blood work.

Kailie - sent you a PM on this.. but wanted to share w/everyone.

Have the vet check for aflatoxin... over the last several years... dry foods have been recalled b/c of it... it attacks the liver.

A friend of mine lost one cat and nearly lost a couple of others to a suspected case.

Another possibility is salmonella... IAMS food was tainted with it... my friend almost lost a kitten to it. The vet thought it was FIP... but the kitten recovered ... and is fine....

Thanks for the advice Addie! He doesn't think it's either one as all of the other cats are fine and they all eat the same food.

The vet is keeping Osiris over night. He is at a loss and still believes it is an infection of some kind. His fever is gone and the x-rays showed nothing, no masses, no obstructions, nothing. He says there isn't much point in bloodwork right now because with the symptoms, he doesn't think it'll tell us anything more than we already know. He's giving him more fluids, and I'll call tomorrow morning to go from there. The vet is wonderful with him...
Thank you all for the vibes!

I am sorry he has to stay overnight at the vet... He is though, at the best place to receive the best care possible... Tons of vibes going his and your way!
