I have two cats who just got fixed under a week ago. I have no idea if this has to do with it, but I have checked their wounds multiple times and they seem perfectly fine. They also have no visible traces of any cuts anywhere on their body on in their mouth or ears.

I have been noticing in the last 2 days that on my bed, there are blood stains where my cats have been. I am not totally sure which one it is, but i assume it to be Leo, since Dana is the one smelling it when he comes on the bed.

The stains are a rather pale red and are always still wet when I find them. I have checked the stool and I cannot find traces of blood.

What could this be/what can I do?

You need to closely inspect your cats and find out where the blood is coming from... Check their genital area - are they peeing ok?

Both males? It's fairly normal for females to have a little bit of seepage from the incision as it heals, but it's not common in males. Take a look "back there" and see if everything looks OK. If you see any redness or ickiness, contact the vet right away. Even if you don't see anything unusual, a call to the vet for advice would be best.

There shoudn't be any "balls" at all, those are the only things that are completely removed during neutering.

It's always happened to my kitties from time to time, but I assumed they were changing teeth and that there's a little blood in the mouth when it happens. If it's not that, I don't know what it could be. Mine never showed any symptoms of uti and I haven't seen blood in stool either, but maybe there is so little blood that it can't be seen with naked eye? I think fleas are another possible reason, but mine never had them.

I know in England some vets leave the sacks now, they did with Billy so he still appears to have balls.x

yes i think they left the sacs. because i was surprised myself that it still appeared that they had balls, although much smaller.

I just checked Leo after he ate, and there is a little blood in his mouth on the bottom teeth. He's about 5 months now, and I know he had been loosing teeth when I got him in early Jan. Perhaps he is still loosing some now.

Hopefully it's just coming from him losing his teeth. But just incase you should take them both to the vet, to make sure the blood isn't a sign of something serious.

Hi! I too have kittens who went through teething with blood. I freaked out one day when I saw blood on one of their beds. Ran around looking at all of my cats. Perla, my white kitty, had blood on her hip area!!!!!!!!! I frantically checked her out everywhere and couldn't find anything wrong. Then ran to check each cat thinking they got the blood on her. And Presley had some blood on the side of his mouth!! So I figured he was playing with Perla and got the blood on her from his mouth. I opened up his mouth to check, and one of his big molars must have just fallen out, the tooth was gone and a bit of blood where the new one was growing in.

So the blood could be teeth. But if it keeps up again today and over-night in the bed again, I would take to vet to be sure. My feeling is that is the teeth, some of the molars coming in cause more bleeding on other kittens and some it doesn't seem to be as bad.
