I have used frontline plus on my 3 cats 2 weeks ago and they still have fleas!! I think they are in the house/carpet but I am not sure how to get rid of them?

There are foggers, but I have no place to put my kids, so what do you guys suggest?

Eddie

Thanks!

You definitely need to spray the house or their never going to go away.

Theres a spray you can buy that you spray along the edge of the carpet and wall. Do downstairs when everyones in bed, but make sure you keep the cats upstairs as well, then do the upstairs during the day closing all the doors.

In that case the only option is your going to have to spray one room with the door shut after you've sprayed, wait a couple of hours, then do the next room etc... but spraying the apartment is a must

Where can I buy this spray? Is it safe for the cats though?

I got mine from the vets when i first brought Rosie home because i found a flea on her. It was expensive, but the spray lasts a year once the area had been treated.

Other members may know where you can buy sprays, but i must stress to make sure the cats don't come into contact with it for at least a few hours, 24 if possible

You may not have to flea bomb your house. We boarded
Lynxx
for our vaction once. He got fleas there. We didn't know that, we found that out 2 weeks later. By that time we had fleas jumping on us, jumping on the t.v. and computer screens. We brought him to the vet. He was given Revolution on his neck. After a couple of days we never saw another flea again, until we brought Luna home.

Revolution you will have to get from your vet.

I second that
. Just keep them on the Frontline, or go to Revolution. The fleas in the environment will have to eventually feed off of you cats (I know that is awful, but true) then they will DIE
. Most people don't have to bomb their homes anymore with these new products. It may take a bit since it sounds like you have many fleas in your home.

Make sure you put the product up high on the back of their necks, almost behind the head... Or they will lick it off. Good luck

I had an outdoor cat and fleas were an ongoing problem. I found the best way to keep up after them was just good regular vacuming and washing of all areas as well as sprays and I used to use advantage for my cat. The flea eggs can remain dormant for years and then become active but there are sprays that can nutralize them as well. I'd check at your local pet superstore.

You can try food grade diatomaceous earth sprinked in the carpets. It dehydrates the fleas, works as well as commercial products, and is safe for cats to walk over since there are no harsh chemicals like commercial flea products.

usually found in garden or hardware stores... DO NOT get the one labeled for pools.. If the cats get some and lick it they will get wormed(not a bad thing with fleas)..You can put the DE around the outside and inside of the house as well as carpet .. In many areas Frontline is used so much many fleas are immune to it
