Queen Eva the FLIRT

Yesterday morning a male friend was here doing some handy-man work for me (installing a sensor outdoor light and a new lockset on the door)

I kept the cats in the bedroom with the screen door hooked closed so he didn't have to worry about keeping the outside door shut.

After he finished, he came upstairs for a cup of coffee and I let the cats out of the bedroom. Queen Eva has not met him before, well she went CRAZY over him! I mean...winding around his legs, actually meowing at him to pay attention to her,(while she talks quite a lot, she never meows!) jumping up on things to be closer to him and reaching out to grab him with her paw, I never saw anything like it.

The last time he came to the door, she was in the window on the stairs and she puffed her tail at him, but he didn't come inside that time, was just picking up his daughter. This is the first time she's ever met a man, except possibly while she was in the hospital. What a hussy!

PS Ironically, he is Seymour's daddy, the cat I made the Green Bed for that Queen Eva stole.

I had a cat like that. Jade, a red tabby, would flirt with any male that visited. She loved men and would not leave them alone until they would pet her. I often called her our little hussy.

Maybe she could sense that he was a cat lover? Or she smelled another cat on him? Or maybe she's now just going to be the cat that greets every new person that comes in? Lynxx was very friendly towards people who came into the house, which was good because I wanted him to like friends and family members, but I didn't want him to trust strangers. Luna and Midnight take off when someone shows up, and I'm actually glad they are more cautious kittens.

I remember at my old house i was having a new stair carpet fitted, and when he was on his knees Rosie jumped on his back and looked over his shoulder to see what he was doing He thought it was hilarious!.

Parker generally loves people but he really does love women. He follows them around, sits next to them on the furniture and cries if they don't pay any attention him.

Thanks for your replies and sharing your related experiences everyone, I love hearing the stories. I especially laughed out loud about Rosie supervising the carpet man....from his back.

Aw, thanks Stephanie. There's something I forgot to mention about that day:

I forgot to mention that in the midst of her shameless flirting she was also showing off to him with her toys. She showed him how she plays with her turbo scratcher and brought a couple of her plastic jug rings over to show him too.

He tried to be gruff but it was very clear how flattered he was.
