Hi! I am Rebecca and i have been a cat owner all my life. I adopted my first two cats of my adult life when I was pregnant with my older son. Blue and Sissy had been together since they were babies and their owner had passed away.

Blue and Sissy

Sadly, I lost my sweet sissy girl at the age of 13 to stomach cancer this past July.
I still miss her SO much!

At the end of December, I decided that Blue really needed a friend to live with. He was so sad and cried all the time after Sis died. So, I went to the Animal Shelter and brought home these two lovies.

Rex (Tabby) and Bear (black siamese mix)

Of course, they are also little partners in crime...

But sweet old Blue is enjoying having them here...

Now...if only we could get rid of the giardia!
See Pet health thread for a big LONG post on our trails with that.

Oh gosh, Rex has blue toenails on the front and red on the back. Cute, but I am in love with Bear. May they all live together in harmony.

Thank you both for the welcome. Rex is wearing soft paws and my sweet 7 year old chose the colors. Can you tell?

Thank you!
Blue is front and back declawed (by his previous owner - an elderly woman who passed away and her family took him to the shelter!).
Rex's soft paws were picked by my 7 year old - LOL he put on blue and red soft paws and wanted to name Rex "Pepsi." Um, NO. LOL Bear is wearing soft paws too, but his are silver glitter.

You have such a nice little fur family there. You have done Sissy proud by giving love again to other kitties who needed you. That is a wonderful tribute to her.

OMG!! They are so cute. Don't just love the way they all cuddle up with each other? Sending good vibes your way for better health...luckily those vibes don't have far to go, neighbor!! Nice to have another TN girl around here.

Welcome! They are all beautiful kitties!
I am sorry for your loss of Sissy. It is very sad. We lost one of our babies almost 3 years ago to stomach cancer too. She was just a month shy of turning 12.

At the kitty's beck and call
Hi there
we're so happy to get the chance to welcome you and your gorgeous fur-family to TCS.

Sorry to hear you're having issues with giardia. I'm no expert, but when Lily had a suspected case of giardia as a kitten, an intensive blast of Panacur, everyday for a week cleared it up and it has never recurred. If that hasn't already been tried, it might be something to discuss with your Vet. Our Vet suggested it before moving on to more invasive tests after fecal sampling was inconclusive. It worked a treat for us.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay with us - we're one great big family and you'll find loads of friends here. If I can help at all while you're finding your way around TCS just click on my username and send me a Personal Message - I'll do what I can to answer your questions.
