I have just learned to post pics, but they are coming out on the small side. I see some pics that are nice and large.

How do I size pic to be larger?

No, I just go to "manage attachments" and upload. There is a picture on now that I don't think is photobucket of Max the cat and it is wall to wall.

Feel free to email them to me and I'll do it for you via a window resize on Internet Explorer and screen-shot. I will send you my email address in 30 seconds. When I had access to my relative's home pc, it had Photoshop and resizing was a breeze, but my method's fast too. Not as fast, but fast IMO.

Oh gee thanks, but I can't email you every pic I post! I don't want to be a bother to people.

I am going to run it by my DH and daughter. Maybe it's something I am doing wrong.

If they can't find a fix, then I will take you up on your offer.

You are nice to do that! Thank you !

If they have Photoshop it'll be simple for them. If not, you could do the convoluted method I use which is to put the file on your desktop, then drag it into a blank browser window. Increase the percentage on the browser, do a screen shot, open up MS Paint, paste, crop, then the last step is "save as". I told you it's convoluted. In the beginning this took me at least 10 minutes, now it's around 1 minute

If you are using attachments, the pictures are automatically resized to a max of 400 pixels. To get the larger pictures you need to use a photo hosting site, such as photobucket or tinypics. Then link to the image or copy and paste the IMG code directly into your message to have the picture show up here.

Wow this is getting way over my head!!

Maybe I will just keep doing the smaller pics. So is there a program I don't have that allows for larger photos? Is there something I can buy to add to the computer to allow me to make larger pics?

Oh life was so simple before the computer! I should just be happy I learned to post pics....see we are never satisfied!!

It's not any special program. You can find instructions for uploading images here under the New Cats forum.

A lot of us here us photobucket.com. You need to sign up for an account, but it's free. Then you can upload pictures from your computer to photobucket. When you're posting a message, go to your photobucket page and under each picture you should see several boxes with different codes. Copy the IMG code, paste it into your message, and you should get a picture the same size as your original.

The problem with continuing to use attachments is that eventually you will max out the space you're allowed on TCS. Then you either have to stop adding pictures to your posts or you have to delete some images. When you delete an image in your attachments, that image disappears from all of your posts, forever.

Are these pictures bigger on your computer than when you upload? Resizing bigger lowers quality if the original picture is limited in size.
