Ah, I am so excited. DH (teehee!) informed me on Thursday that Lucy is coming with us when we move. She is supposed to be our roommate's cat... but that man isn't right in the head. Apparently Thursday morning Lucy came tearing out of roommate's room, and he came running after her. She dove under the table, and roommate followed, and he then proceeded to drag her back to his room, mumbling about "teaching Lucy a lesson." DH asked what was wrong, what she had done, etc... apparently she, as she does every morning, woke him at 6am meowing to get out of his room. She does this every morning when she hears me getting ready for work, and her brothers running around having fun. Well, he tried to leave her locked in his room, all day. To teach her a lesson. Despite our trying to explain that she is a CAT and doesn't understand. Well, finally, DH says that, yeah, we can't leave her here when we move out. Who knows what he might do. So hurrah! Lucy gets to be one of my babies for ever too!

That's wonderful news! I am so glad. I hope he doesn't get another cat after Lucy's gone to your good home.

I really hope so too. But, sadly there is nothing I can do about that..and I can't leave Lucy to suffer through his..oddness.

That's great that you're taking Lucy in. Now she won't have to be terrorized anymore!

Is lucy the roommates' cat? I mean legally, as in does he have vet bills to prove care and will he cause a stink when you take lucy with you?

He paid for her vet bills, but they are in my name. She came from my MIL with the boys, and he just sort of adopted her. Legally, he really has no proof. I am not going to take anymore money from him for litter or food though, and I all ready buy her flea treatment.

Ruthyb- we are catnapping, lol. We will tell him the day of or something, it'll be a year and a half or so more anyway.

People who mistreat cats risk someone rescuing them.

I am glad she is going with you. You and DH are really good hearted people!!
