At this time last year, we were doctoring you, never dreaming you wouldn't survive. I miss you sweet boy. There is a hole in my heart that will always be there. You were a "once in a lifetime cat". I will never, ever forget you and how much you loved me. My lap was your idea of Heaven. Play happily without pain. I appreciate so much the time I saw you and the time Dad heard you on the porch. Visit whenever you want to. Know that you are missed and loved more and more every day. Life is not the same. I cry. We don't talk about you because it hurts too much. But you are in our hearts forever.

Sending warm hugs. They do leave a hole in the heart.

I hope someday soon you can look back with more smiles than tears.

God bless my friend.

Speedboat, tomorrow marks a year since that last dreaded trip to the vet with you. You were the love of our lives and we will never forget you. There are no words to write. Nothing can tell of how deep this hole in our lives is with you gone. Godspeed dear boy. We love you.

I'm so sorry that you are still hurting, too. I know exactly how you feel: it's been a year since I had to let Maverick go, too. I hope they are happy and playing together at the Bridge. Speedboat was such a beautiful cat.
He looks so much like my Gabriel, who was Maverick's best buddy.

Many prayers & hugs to you, Barb.

I so sorry about the loss of your beloved cat. I, too, take a long time to get over the loss of a cat. Sometimes I can't get another cat (even though there is always at least one left with me) for a long time after one passes away. I just can't get over it.

I am still grieving for my Sherman who passed away last May. It was sudden, and seemed so unreal when he got sick and faded away within a few weeks. Even now, I put my hand down by the side of the green chair in the living room I sit in at night and expect to feel his little head and warm body in that spot where he always sat waiting for me to pet him. I am surprised each time, all over again, that he is gone. And it hurts.

So sorry.

Robin
