Hurrah! We got married last saturday and it was wonderful! Our little ring bearer was the cutest little thing, sitting on my dress and trying to get my attention during the ceremony, and pulling up a chair and bringing his plate to our sweetheart table during dinner. I looved it, he is adorable.

Sadly, of the 60 or so guests that RSVP'd yes, only about 40 showed. Another 12 of them were gone by dinner, and by the time we were cutting the cake, the only people left were family and three of Pat's closest friends.

Oh, and our cake...ugh. Don't get a publix wedding cake unless you have seen their work. Ours was supposed to be a 12-9-6 and it was a 12-12-6, and the top tier was completely off center. They also taped up the lid of the box, which of course fell, and mashed the whole top layer. We got half our money back, thankfully.

Anyway, I will link to my photobucket of pictures, if anyone is interested. It was definitely really pretty, and I had a blast. We have a plan for an Alaskan Cruise this summer (woo!) if we can save up the cash, can't wait!

So, pictures! http://s1010.photobucket.com/albums/...ry%208%202011/

Congratulations. I love your dress, I tried on one like that when I got married but I didn't like it on me.

My ring bearer was sitting on the floor during our ceremony and played with my husbands shoes. He didn't even notice.

Congrats!! You looked so pretty!! Don't feel bad about the number of people, we only had a 50 people and 75 RSVP'd. Sorry about your cake too. My flowers were the issue on our day. I took several pictures for our florist to go by and she still managed to screw them up, they were nothing like the pictures!! But now, 10 years later, we don't even remember the details of the day...just that it was the best day of our life.

I wish you many years of happiness.

One piece of advice, I'm sure you have heard/know this..but it is important...

Never go to bed angry...even if it takes all night...work it out.

And remember...makeup sex is the best!! (oops, I hope that was o.k. to say here) ---

Haha, love it! I definitely wasn't stressed about any of it, though I was more then happy to get money back on the cake haha.

We definitely heard those tips a lot. My guest book is a photo album, everyone had a 4 x 6 card to write advice or whatever they wanted on it. Those were common, as well as some...err, really weird pictures. I love it though, lol

Congratulations and the best of luck to both of you! You look radiant in those pictures, and your dress is lovely (even if the cute little ringbearer sat on it).

Congratulations! You look beautiful and I love your dress, especially the back of it. I see what you mean about the cake, but it was still lovely and I wouldn't have noticed the top was slightly off center if you hadn't pointed it out. Oh well, no wedding even came off without a glitch! Mine was my jewelry. My necklace came apart (clasp) when I was getting ready. It was held together all day with a twisty tie! Thank god for long hair!
Anyway, it looks like you both had a beautiful day and here's wishing for a lifetime of the same.

Oh boy! At least you had a way to fix the necklace!! I'm glad my necklace didn't break.. My mother in law lent it to me..it was one that Pat's deceased father gave to her on valentines day the day before he passed.I would have been devastated if THAT had broke!! My grandma did awesome fixing up the cake, so it's cool that it was a bit messed up.

I was wondering how things went! You sound SO happy - and LOOK so happy!
Everyone looks happy in fact - I'm so glad it all came together! Bummer about people RSVPing and then not showing up - that's just rude. But it sure didn't spoil your day, and having those you love share your day with you is what's important.

Congratulations!
