Even though I'm mad at ebay at the minute, I'm in need of a new table and chairs as dh sat on one of the chairs the other night and it collapsed
and they rest of the chairs are a bit shabby. Well I was looking and I found this, shame the cat isn't included or I would have snapped it up

Check your local craigslist for table/chairs, or go to an auction. We've gotten several nice pieces of furniture at autions and plan on getting our living room and entertainment center from auction or craigslist when we are ready.

We NEVER pay retail on furniture - its outrageous.

I'm a member of freecycle but nothing has come up so far suitable, I'll be putting the table from my old set on freecycle but the chairs are no good. I really want a corona table and chairs but the cheapest one I've found buy it now is £139 and I just haven't got the cash, so been looking on ebay for auctions but they go for ridiculous amounts. x

Are there no second hand shops there or churches that run any? (Here churches will take donated items and resell them at a low price to make a little money for the church)

There has to be a cheaper option that won't have you spending even more on shipping.

In the meantime get a bottle of wood glue and screws and see if you can make your existing chairs a little safer.

We have alot of charity shops but just lately the prices that they charge are horrendous, I refuse to give to many of them as they re-sell them at such a horrendous price. I saw a table last week and they wanted £100 for it which I think is alot of money for saying that they were given it.
My chairs are metal and I have re-screwed the seats back on that many times the holes are too big to do it any more and they are metal, the chair that dh broke on the frame where its welded together broke. My mum has offered me hers but its far too big, really I need a six seater as there is 5 of us, I will just have to keep looking. x
