We have a litter born 2 weeks ago, and have 2 "Black" males.
But are they "black" or "black tabby" or a very dark something else? We are not sure. The mom is a blue and dad is a red mac tabby.
These are the same kittens I posted last week.

Depending on where you are from, black tabby can mean many things, the first that comes to mind is a black cat with faint markings or ghost markings. In europe black tabby is what we would call a brown tabby in the states. I have a hard time getting a clear picture of these cats because my computer crashed last week and I need a new video driver (or something like that) so my colors arent good. Sometimes black kittens go though weird stages, I had one that I rescued who was black when we got him, turned a little white in places like under his chin, legs, ect, then went back to black. If I were to guess I would have to say they are black cats with ghost markings, but then again, I cant see the photo.

awww they are so cute!! we have a normal black kitty and in some light you can see stripes on him. The vet said alot of black cats have a tabby pattern in certain lights.

Just from the picture, and tiny bit of experience with color, they may just have ghost markings and may be black, or it's possible they could be black smoke.

What color are there Sire & Dam? I know the mother is a blue.

From the picture it looks as though they are an unsound black. Could they be smokes?
Smokes look alot like blacks when born and as they get a bit older become 'inside out' with white hairs and 'wispy' colored fur.

There is actually no such thing as a Black Tabby, a black showing tabby marking is a fault as a cat but acceptable as a kitten.

To me these kittens just look like blacks with ghost markings.
