nose dripping while being pet

I've been noticing lately that my otherwise healthy cat Memphis gets a really wet nose when I pet him for a long time. He used to nip after a minute or two to let you know he's had enough, but he's gotten better and lets me pet him for longer and longer. Now that I can pet him for 10 - 20 minutes at a time, I notice his nose gets soaked sometimes, so bad that it drips. At the same time, he's rubbing his head on anything with texture, and basically loving on everything around. Is this normal, or within the bounds of normalcy? He's on the verge of purring when his nose is wet (more like faster breathing, he's never purred audibly)

I think it's normal. My one male cat gets very cuddly every so often, and when he does, his nose gets wet and turns colors (usually pale pink, but it goes to bright pink when he's happy) and he drools like a faucet. And he always insists on wiping his snots and drool against my face.

So yeah, I think he's okay. Some cats do get a bit damp when they're happy.

Lucy and Rocky are both "droolers" and their noses run and drip too when they are petted.

Parker is the king of drooling. Since he has over sized fangs, its even worse. He drools all the time...and "snots" too, as I call it. Many mornings I get woken up when he shakes his head and it goes all over my face.

Sterling does this, too. Gets up on the bed, settles into his favorite spot, starts up the purr machine, and the nose starts running!
