Hi everyone!
I'm new to this forum and need some advice on my sick kitty, Cha. I just got him a week ago and he is now 2 months old. He was very active and healthy when I got him, so I brought him to the vet for an intiial check-up and vaccinations 3 days ago. At the same time, I bought some new cat food that was recommended. Everything went fine at the Vet.
Ever since I got Cha, i was concerned with how little food he ate, so I was happy that he showed more interest in this new cat food and started feeding it to him on. Everything was fine until yesterday morning, when he had diarrhea, and started vomiting. I called the animal clinic and they said it was because of the sudden change in catfood, and told me to switch back. However, now Cha refuses to eat anything and has no energy. he hasn't eaten for almost 48 hours now. I tried cooking some chicken breast with rice, but he refuses to eat that too. He still has diarrhea, but at least he's drinking lots of water.
He still has no energy and I'm not sure of what I should do. I'm worried that his sickness is caused by something other than a change in diet.
I'm very very worried and seeking any advice!!

Hello and welcome to TCS!

Your kitty definately needs to see the vet. A cat that goes that long without eating, is in danger of organ shutdown and damage. Ask the vet about syringe feeding some diluted baby food, no onions or garlic added. Cha has to get some nourishment.

Was your cat tested for FLV and FIV?

I hope you can get the kitten to your vet or an ER vet. Cha really needs to be seen today...please do not delay.

Sending for him to get better real soon.

He can't go longer without eating, and the vet will show you how to force feed him.

It is very important that your kitten eats. You really should take him to the vet!
