Horrible news! Anyone remember Rosemary/Butzie?

I will certainly keep her family in my thoughts. I'm so sorry for them. I wonder about Butzie, too??

What a shock! I didn't know her except through her posting here, but she seemed like a special lady. I too hope someone is taking care of Butzie.

This makes me so very sad. I really feel for all those left behind.

I sent her a happy birthday - we used to PM a lot, and I've been worried about her, but saw her last site visit was just before Christmas. As someone pointed out, obviously it wasn't her. This is just shocking and SO sad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As she had children, I can't imagine her DH wouldn't know. I'm not even sure the divorce was actually final - it might have been, but that would have been this fall at most (I'm pretty sure) though they'd been separated for some time.

I am so so so so sorry. to her family.

Will keep the family in our prayers. I hope the cats went to good homes.

Where are you seeing that someone logged on December 20? The last post I see from Rosemary was November 9.

I'm so sad about this I really liked Rosemary! And I looked forward to her postings and reading about Butzie!

I know she was having problems with her hand which was broken and required surgery. I never heard anything more.

I hope Butzie and Sandy (Bird) are being looked after by a family/friend.

I had only seen Rosemary a few times here on TCS, as she stopped posting just a little while after I joined, but from the posts I saw, she was a very kind person. RIP Rosemary. At least now she has joined her RB pets.
I hope that Butzie and her budgies are okay, and have someone caring for them.

DarkMavis summed it up pretty well saying she seemed so full of life. This is a bit of a shock.

I wish strength to her family in this time and hope her pets, who she loved dearly, are being well cared for.

I, too, am saddened to read about this. My deepest condolences to her loved ones, and I hope Butzie and the birds are OK as well.

If you go to her user page, you can see her last activity was december 19th

She was my SS one year, and her gifts showed just what a thoughtful, creative person she was. She's definitely been missed here.

I wonder if someone was going through her computer and just clicked on TCS to see what it was.

That is sad news. I hope we can manage to get through to her family to express our collective sorrow and condolences.

Is there no imformation on the obituary, perhaps someone could ring the funeral directors? This is just so sad. x

They were married for 28 years and have two children (including Ben, who is a minor). I have also seen multiple family members of her's post on her fb wall, so I'd venture a very strong guess that George knows and cares. (Rosemary talked about George several times when I talked to her back in late November, and it seemed as though they got along despite the seperation/divorce, so I can't imagine why he wouldn't know, given the circumstances).

I was exceptionally careful with what I wrote in the email to him though. I simply extended the prayers and condolences of everyone here on TCS and also asked if the children were coping well. Another thing that I asked George about was if Butzie and Rosemary's parakeet are safe to his knowledge, or if he or a family member needs help getting them into a new home. No word back from him yet; I hope it's still an email address that he actively uses (it's several years old and the one attached to my paypal account from when I sold a design piece to them). I also pray that given the circumstance, he is in a place emotionally where he is able to comment and respond so that we know Rosemary's beloved children and pets are safe or we can extend offers of help. If I recieve a response from him, I will update everyone. In the mean time, my heart and prayers go out to Rosemary's family
