Thought I would take a moment to let everyone know that I am still alive. Even if some days I kind of wish I wasn't.
I'm still homeless. The house project I was working on got canceled. After all the work I put into it, the guy decided that he was just going to charge me over half of what I make a month in order to live in the main house. Since, obviously, I can't afford that, I left.
I'm again bouncing back and forth between some friends houses and wishing I had somewhere better to go. I have had to stop sleeping in my car just because it's too fragging cold at night now.
My mother still has my cats. The good news is that they are all doing okay now. Cuddles has even been officially been adopted. He and my special need brother have really gotten attached to each other, and my mother said that even when I do find my own place, she's keeping Cuddles. That's something at least.
Still waiting on the divorce papers to come back from the judge. No government agency will give me public aide without them, considering the ex makes too much to qualify and I have to count his income as long as we're "married". So yet again, I'm getting screwed over.
I'm still working so I have that much at least.
I hope the holidays were good for all of you, and that everyone received their cards in a timely manner. And that hopefully I sent the right ones to the right people. --sigh-- If I offended anyone I apologize.

It sounds like you're still pulling through ok and staying strong, and that you have a good support system in your friends. I wish you all the best for getting the divorce papers soon and starting your new life off right.
