Dropping in -- update

Thought I would take a moment to let everyone know that I am still alive. Even if some days I kind of wish I wasn't.

I'm still homeless. The house project I was working on got canceled. After all the work I put into it, the guy decided that he was just going to charge me over half of what I make a month in order to live in the main house. Since, obviously, I can't afford that, I left.

I'm again bouncing back and forth between some friends houses and wishing I had somewhere better to go. I have had to stop sleeping in my car just because it's too fragging cold at night now.

My mother still has my cats. The good news is that they are all doing okay now. Cuddles has even been officially been adopted. He and my special need brother have really gotten attached to each other, and my mother said that even when I do find my own place, she's keeping Cuddles. That's something at least.

Still waiting on the divorce papers to come back from the judge. No government agency will give me public aide without them, considering the ex makes too much to qualify and I have to count his income as long as we're "married". So yet again, I'm getting screwed over.

I'm still working so I have that much at least.

I hope the holidays were good for all of you, and that everyone received their cards in a timely manner. And that hopefully I sent the right ones to the right people. --sigh-- If I offended anyone I apologize.

Thanks for the update. We sytill have our xmas cards up around the one doorway, and I keep thinking of you and how you're doing. Sorry to hear things aren't the best right now, and that the house fell through after all the work you did! It sounds like you're still pulling through ok and staying strong, and that you have a good support system in your friends. I wish you all the best for getting the divorce papers soon and starting your new life off right.

Is it possible that there is a goverment agency that can help you find housing or something. Theres got to be someone or something out there that can help you once you explain the situation. Im so sorry this is happening to you.

I ADORED the Christmas card that you sent sweetie, and I too have been thinking of you... There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Keep your head held high, and you'll get through this eventually.

That sucks about the housing situation after all your hard work. that things start looking up soon!

I've been wondering how things are going for you, hun. Wish the news was better. Hopefully, the divorce will go thru quickly and you can get the assistance you need.

I'm so glad you popped in for an update, I've been wondering and worried. I am SO SO SO sorry to hear about the situation with the apartment! I was really hoping for better news than that (like you weren't!!!!!) I don't even want to ask if you got paid for your time - even if you did, it still completely sucks, no two ways around it. I can't imagine why life is throwing this at you right now. I know the idea that you're growing stronger from this feels like a pile of hogwash right now.

I do know you'll make it through this, and you have all our good wishes and good thoughts, and heaps of vibes!
