URGENT!!!2 elderly cats need a home really urgently

Posting this for someone who works in rescue.

desperate x2 female cats

both cats are 14yrs,spayed and are black and white,owners have had them since kittens but are now being re homed because of new baby, paws n claws have a week 2 find a home for them.

this rescue is based in st.helens but are willing to rehome all over the uk.

They have 6 days left to rehome them now. Chances are they will be pts if no home found for them.

Really wish I could help, this is sickening, had them since kittens but getting rid due to a new baby, makes me so mad. x

I hope these cats find good homes. I really don't like people who rehome cats for these arbitrary reasons. The cats are 14 years old, they're not going to terrorize a baby or even pay it much attention really. And how much activity/time do you really need to give old cats like that? In my mind these "people" have a responsibility to provide for these cats in their final years. The two cats are going to be so heartbroken, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't live long after being rehomed out of the one home they've known their entire lives.

I can't believe they got rid of these cats they've had for 14 years!!! just because they had a baby? Do they really think 14 year old cats are going to be interested in harming a baby?

I hope someone good takes these cats, they deserve better.

To give away cats that are that old because of a baby. I don't know of a cat that ever harmed a baby. I could maybe understand if it was a certain breed of dog or some other type of pet but cats. My cats are my family any guy I date understands right away that we're a package deal. I would never expect someone to get rid of their cat or dog. Here's hoping the cats find a good home.
