Why does she do that??

I got all the cats to be able to (mostly) eat out of just their own bowls and not snack from the others. Every so often, though, once everyone is done eating and gone off to do something else...Nora will go over to Walter's food and bury it in tissue paper. We keep a ton of tissue paper in the kitchen b/c they all love to play in it. I have no idea why she would do that. Walter is the one she gets along with the most, they play with each other all day and groom each other. She never buries Thomas' food. The two bowls are separated enough to be able to tell she is being purposeful with specifically Walter's bowl. Walter's is on the other side of the kitchen, by himself against the opposite wall.

In the past, if we feed her a wet food she didn't like she would do the same thing to her own food, but in those instances there wasn't tissue paper, she just made the motions.

Does anyone have any clue??

She could be leaving Walter a present for the next time he goes to his food bowl. Tha's all I can think of if they're really the closest with each other.

They seem like they are friends, at least to me. They play fight (just like the brothers do with each other) and chase each other around the house, and they groom each other. Nora doesn't do any of that stuff with Thomas. Thomas also got the brunt of her aggression when they first got her, so he's kind of scared of her still.

Unless Nora and Walter really hate each others' guts and I'm terrible at reading their behavior... *shrug*

Cats often bury left over food and I think that's what she's doing. She's saving it for later. It doesn't really matter who's it is. They'll also bury stuff they don't like (like their waste!) Sounds like she's just a good digger!

Luna will do that, not with tissue paper, but she paws like she's covering her food. You know burrying it for later. That could be what Nora is doing?
