Please send vibes for my flooding home town

Thread Starter
Toowoomba, (where I'm supposed to be next week), in the state of Queensland, Australia had major flash flooding yesterday, which claimed the lives of 8 people, with another 70+ still missing.

Brisbane, the major city, where most of my family is, and where we're supposed to be flying into is in the process of flooding.

My brother's suburb has been evacuated, and he decided to stay (with his wife and 5 kids) since they're on higher ground, and now the suburb is cut off with no way out

Please send lots of prayers and vibes that the rain stops and flood waters go down soon

Mike that video is amazing! Just shows how incredibly quickly the flooding happened. They say it was like an inland tsunami and you can see that in the video.

Sam, I hope your family changes their travel plans.

Sarah, I'm glad your family is safe, and here's hoping your brother is OK. That sounds scary being cut off like that.

I worry about all the pets too. They don't have any say in whether they get left behind or not.

Sarah, I'm keeping your family in my prayers as well as all of the other people there right now.

My 2 cousins who are both under 10 years old left yesterday. They are there but they had to go by water ski to their Dad's house. To say I'm worried is an understatement. I can't believe my Aunty let them go
